new toy - The war wagon

Recommended Posts

Picked up the new wagon and proceeded to give it a 400km drive over and around the Coromadel as it's first test.

50% windy switchback roads & 50% gravel that must have been used for a rally stage at some point.

BMW X5 xdrive30d performance pack

What a car. Aglie, surprisingly quick. 400km cost me $40 (half a tank).

Panoramic sunroof. So comfortable I even slept in the back.

Now it's all dirty.

hey Kyu. How did the tyres work out for you?

fishing wasn't bad we got about 25 fish mostly snapper to divvy up at the end.

Couldn't have taken a better car for the trip. The M5 wouldn't have even made it down one of the roads.

i got them fitted saturday morning for $30 so all is good. thanks again darren ;)

didnt get to drive it much except for sunday morning to the meet.. had to roll the garage door up by hand cuz power cut lol

tyres are great. much better than what I had before. now time to save up for a new set cuz fronts r getting worn too.

25 fish aint all bad. last time i went to the coromandel me and my gf caught about 20 in half a day but we were beginners

i quite like the road to coromandel but when its windy and raining gets a little bit scary when going along that long road on the ledge next to the water!

Cool. Your welcome. I hope they tie you over.

We still don't have power. 2 days on a stag wknd, fishing with no shower. I came home to no power and a cold shower.

Not the pleasant end to the wknd I was expecting.

AND i've missed the F1.

Just seen this. Awesome car. My Mum has one. Looks cool in Black. I think it's a great combination of power, economy, and convenience!

Where did you end up settling in Auckland? Coming to any of the upcoming meets?
