petone 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2006 (edited) 17inch alpina reps. ship em over from the states, haven't seen anyone else with them in NZ pretty hard to find wheels (16" or bigger that is) for E30 in NZ that don't require spacers. If you got enough dough I'd look at getting something from overseas. Always wheel for sale on r3v or e30zone etc. Surface shipping should be less than $300 for a whole set of mags. ED1RTY 2 Report post Posted October 18, 2006 R3v always have sh*t for sale... people over here always wanting astronomical prices for their rare parts (with good reason) there were some MINT borbet type C's for sale somewhere not so long ago.. Depening on what you want to spend could try the manufacturer's....

Tane's ACS reps aren't advanti essens are they? Look so sweet with the Mtech2 kit
EuroBoy 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2006 not sure how much money you have, but do it once and do it right http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=76473 FTW
Deftones 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2006 These aren't the Avanti Essens sorry. I was after a set of Momo's (but didn't come in 4x100), but the guys at Maclennan Performance in Wellington put me onto these replicas. I can't remember who made them, but it wasn't one of the big manufacturers. Cost me $1,700 for a set with Kumho rubber. Recently had them reconditioned
petone 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2006 http://www.mayhemperformance.co.nz/?page=items&item=108 not sure if they do them in 4 x
Mavrick 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2006 Abraham motorsports were more than helpful. Just flicked them an email half an hour ago and have already got a quoted price see below. Hi Hamish- Thanks for your inquiry- Shipping to NZ is $63 per wheel by ship (4-6 weeks) and $138 by Airmail (4-10 days). We have the wheels in stock for immediate shipping. The total by ship is $968. Our PayPal account is: [email protected] Sincerely, Mel Abrahams Abrahams Motorsport www.abrahamsmotorsport.com Exclusive US Distributors: Schmiedmann Specialist i BMW www.schmiedmann.com I am quite keen on getting a set of these, i've been searching for ages and in the end gave up because i thought the only option was a 5-lug conversion with some genuine alpinas bought of ebay etc which was too rich for my blood. This is a quoted price to Palmerston North but i wouldn't suggest that it would be any different for naywhere else in NZ.

martyyn 2 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 So can we clarify a few things here. Its 1k USD to ship 4 alpina rep alloys to NZ ? As for the duty and gst, Im not sure there would be any duty as they are for personal use and not for on-selling (but am not sure on that) but we may well be eligible for gst. Im interested to learn more anyway. Ive been checking out a few places in the UK through some friends. Ive seen two sets of genuine 16' Alpinas (4 lug) for around 3-400 gbp in the last couple of weeks. Both have had new tyres on them though which has increased the price, so I may see how much they will cost to get from there too.
petone 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 you will have to pay gst as the goods are worth more than $100 (or something like that). So you are looking at roughly $1650NZ landed incl gst, pricey but sweet wheels and a perfect fit for E30. btw wheels are 17 x 7.5 et 20. Not available in 16" yet but there were rumours about some being made. Not sure whats happening with those.
Mavrick 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 They are rep's but are of good quality from what i can gather, they use them on their race cars and stand by them. They are also avaliable in 17 x 7.5 et 35 but thats with a special order. $1650 is a good price for mint wheels that you won't see on any other cars i.e. hondaz toyotas etc
martyyn 2 Report post Posted October 24, 2006 you will have to pay gst as the goods are worth more than $100 (or something like that).GST is payable on whatever Customs decide is eligible But the general rule is that if its under 400 NZD and can realistically be considered as a gift then they will not charge GST. Anything above 400, or that they feel is not a genuine gift is liable for GST unless you can convince them otherwise (highly unlikely). Just a note to anyone who does import something and its stopped by customs. Dont pay someone to do a customs clearance for you. You can do it yourself, in 10 mins, over the phone and even pay any GST by credit card. They will do all the paperwork and give you an entry number. You can then ask them to fax that entry number to whoever is delivering the goods so it can be realised. You should then phone the delivery company and give them the entry number and ask them to keep an eye out for the fax from customs. Dont be surprised if customs forget and it takes a day or two ! Dont take the pish though. If you upset them you have lost your chance. Be honest and friendly and you may be surprised at what they will let you get away with.
