  1. f**king everywhere man haha avoid a sunroof model if you can cause they are half the bloody problem. The rust the boot up because by now the drain lines are clogged or some idiot has diconnected or blocked them. Avoid pre facelift, mine seems to be constantly rusting. Thatll teach me to buy a ex uk car that sat in a long grass for over a yearhaha

  2. Hey Guys i'm looking for something nice!

My Parents are looking for something 1999 or newer, sub 100 000kms unless it's got good service history, even then 120kms MAX sort of thing

    They want a E46 320i/325i/328/330i or a E39 525i/528i/530i

Motorsport optioned preferably unless theres something else thats special about the car!

They don't want a plain jane 318i looking thing on hubcaps so dont offer it (The old E46 they had had 18" BBS's, tein adjusties, exhaust and tints, alot like ex Hybrids now Rays 330i, time for something a little less bouncy and low, hence the motorsport options/kit is high on the list)

    Stuff they'd like

    Sunroof

    Good options from factory

    Good service history

Good body work/paint (NO red cars)

    Motorsport options/kit/wheels

Aftermarket wheels aslong as they're not f**king G Zero Chromies

Tints, exhaust, intake, and sensible lowering is fine aslong as it's done properly.

Basicly they want a nicely optioned car not a poverty spec one.

If the cars out of CHCH I've talked them into taking it to someone fussy like Glenn @ Botany Motor Worx to find any problems, so if thats going to be a problem don't bother contacting me i'm not interested in taking to your mate down the road for a $29 dollar WOF sort of sh*t, sorry if that seems blunt but if its not in CHCH we want someone going over it properly :)

Were looking at trademe daily, but theres always stuff around thats not advertised!

Happy to spend upto $19-20,000 for the right car. Open to private and yard sales so if you've seen something nice on a yard or your a salesman and you have something let me know

Send photos and info to BRRMods@gmail.com with your details or PM me, and i'll pass them on and we can go from there

    Thanks heaps!

    Andrew

  3. Pixels die in the heater display and dash/odo.

Front bushes wear causing a wobble in steering.

Both E39's i've had the A/C has f**ked out so check that works well.

Buttons on the heater controls break very easily so check that. you have to buy a whole new "faceplate" for them as far as I know.

Seat adjustment can quite often be broken as your foot can kick them getting in and out the car

Typical cooling bullshit everyone goes on about, I've never had a problem with any of it on my 528i or my 540i touch wood, but it does happen so find out about all that

Don't go smaller than a 528i..I don't care what anyone says i've owned one and any less power would be annoying and would make it thirsty im sure of it.

At this stage the only similar cars i'd look at trading my E39 for is a manual xr6 turbo or a nice aero kitted X5. they're a fantastic car that ride nice and travel well.
