Little off topic but how common are m60 manual converted e30's in NZ - I've never seen one for sale, if I did I would probably would have bought it

Put a claim in then the insurance company chase and deal with it

After today, newfound appreciation for BFH's and WD-40
Looking good man, the bushes make a huge difference!
also yeah most e30 owners appreciate a can of WD and a trusty BFH i think!
-
a guy in CHCH had one stolen a couple of months back, cant remember his user name, but he'll probably be keen on it
EDIT ; This guy http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index.php?showuser=2882

Kevin Burt... knows his sh*t and is cheaper than BMW/Jeff Gray going by all my reciepts for servicing that came with the car...
-
one of the plugs under my steering column had come slightly loose, engine and tach would just die randomly when jabbing the brakes etc...another option
-
finally, a genuine reason to require a second mortgage! haha
-
failing that buy 4 cheap sockets from supercheap/repco etc and then just whack it onto the locking stud tight and bingo was your name-o!
-
I had this in my e30 once, then a mate had it in his mitsi...we filled up at the same place and once the tanks were emptied and refilled somewhere else it went away
i found out later i also had a leaking intake gasket... either way different fuel fixed it as far as I knew
I didn't notice the gasket leaking for another 2 months, once it developed a big hissing noise lol

have the braided lines got a tag or something stamped on them so you dont need a cert to run them?
-
awesome, cant wait to see this progress!

looks like mtech II rep stuff to me, but i dont really know the stuff too well
-
no mechanical help sorry and I don't mean to sound like a prick, BUT they brought the car second hand, if they didn't check it out thats their problem, I dont think your even legally bound to fix it if its private sale and they signed the dotted line??, someone else will chime in.
I'd wash your hands of it before it costs you all the money you sold it for, the new owner might really over heat it and then your gonna be forking out big bucks/head if you keep trying to fix it for them

Cracked up reading that Ray haha
-
oh true, better double check these ones out, might pay to buy and hide in the roof until I can make a set lol

So i've come across some wheels that i'm sure, from the quick look I had, are the above in 18"x9(or a very very very similar with the lip bolting to the centre) ...problem is there is only 2...
What are they worth worst case and best case? minimal curbing/probably just call it a rash
and does anybody have a broke set/pair etc lying around
-
Thanks for that,Not as big of a change as I thought. The search continues!

E36 boxes sit correct in E30 M50 swaps don't they? shifter position and X-member position
...as opposed to the g260 m20 box which has big angle/gotta mod or bend X-member...is the angle really bad or barely noticable?
-
disc rear end should just bolt in I think... pull old subframe out put new one in
-
