  2. hey guys wondering if its worth doing this change? my m50 1992 325i engine has done the head gasket sadly, but i was wondering if i replaced it with a 1994 325i vanos engine i might be able to get my hands on. what kind of work is needed to do this? mine is also manual do the engines mount the same on the box? ill also have to change the loom right?

  3. sorry about the late reply. it has been to a dealer which they told me i had lots of errors. they said it needs to be reprogrammed. As for information I don’t know any tech information. It’s a non vanos New Zealand new E36 325i 1992 manual. Maybe someone can help me with the rest? What kind of interferences can happen? The engine has no head on it at the moment. So it cant drive any other way of checking it?

  4. Hey selling my rims, these are really nice dish rims gun metal grey insides polished lip. The rims are two months old. The tires are a little older around 80% tread. Tires are 235/40/17 GT Radial Champiro. I also have the hub inserts to fit the Holden cars. Priced up at Mag and Turbo these cost around $2500. Looking at offers cheers. Send me a email address if pictures are needed.

  5. ok then ill get it tested, how good is that engine? how good are the pistons? you reckon thats a good option? because im really intrested in rebuilding the motor. where abouts are you? cheers

Alloy heads can be welded. Pull it apart and get a crack tests done

I can get a complete non-vanos M50b20 engine for about $500 [you could cannibalise it]

  6. Hey, so I have cracked the head gasket:S. what do I do? I have a 1992 325i E36 M50 manual bmw. Does anyone know of any good places to get cheap but good work done around Rotorua and Hamilton, car is in Rotorua but I live in Hamilton. I was thinking of just getting a new seal kit and machine the head. But then as it has done high kms should I do the piston rings and the whole engine? or should i just get hold of a replace ment engine say a newer model one?

    cheers
