I’ve tried a bunch of phone holders and cradles. This is it. I’ve found it!
By far the best MagSafe holder. Super strong magnet and the clip that goes on the vent tightens by screw.

Exactly... they were wrong.
New M3 looks good (not great), this is will mature well too.

Surprising really!

A lot to be said for fillers if you 'wax' often I reckon, it's not cool, but it works. Gonna give this a go as I have the same road rash issue.
I'm probably 13 years in on black car ownership and a full polish is just too time consuming sometimes.

X3 30d gets around 700km in town. $140 to fill up + RUC and it's similar to petrol prices. But you get v8 like performance.

Noticed this recently too - lots of Jap imports it seems. Pre covid some were selling sub $60, then they went back up it. It's happened in the past a lot where the NZ market is saturated with imports and our local prices are lower than overseas. Can't see the prices firming up personally. I wonder if we will start to see a flood of f80s too?

Nice car! What gearbox do these have?

As far as I know, no current dealer actually does any paint or body work.I’ve always ordered the OEM paint from the dealer. Comes with a clear.

Alternatively you can buy OEM paint from the dealer and cut a Q-tip in half to fill chips. Brushes are not the way.

Amazing work! More pics!

Some very interesting points raised here. Especially the RUC which I was not considering.
If you're buying a new (commuter) car now, electric seems the logical way. Base Tesla Model 3 seems like a great deal, and obviously why they are so popular.
It's a real shame BMW's electric offering sucks. (The Audi's are very expensive but look awesome. The KIA looks great, as does the Ionic 5).

Nice! - I've got one. Drive it a fair bit more than you though!

One of the few red cars I'd own/drive!

QuoteStupid easy to get the rear to step out on greasy roads - need a driver upgrade now - almost made a fool of myself in an intersection giving a touch of throttle mid corner
QuoteEnjoy, they can be a real mission in the wet, I’ve slid around at 15km/h. An older BMW mechanic told me once that they used to get regularly damaged on mechanics test drives in the rain, so only the foreman was allowed to take them out.
They are hilarious in the wet eh. Basically just sideways everywhere, in slow motion. Every round-a-bout, every intersection.

I see a few downsides. 1) the bit that goes into the vent I have used before. It's just a friction fit. OK but can wiggle loose. The one i posted ratchets down to clamp onto the grill so can't come loose. 2) does that require the proprietary magnet? OP is based on the magsafe design. 3) it will partially block airflow from the vent
