jock had a ae86 with 240km on the clock - it was a scrapper, but he drilled it every day to the redline. it never coughed - got so rough in the end it had to go. the more i drive this one the more i like it. pity about the enduro tyres - they are like so bad they're dangerous.. i nearly took out a bimmer on saturday in that rain - it slid and slid and i only just managed to slow up enough to get another bite at the corner and get round without taking out the side of this lovely looking royal blue e46 (i think) . Hope the owner is not on bs - he must have crapped himself!!

My mother's fxgt is sitting in the drive looking for a new home. I've usually flicked friend's junk off on trademe for $1 reserve and kept going. But the more i drive it the more i like it so i thinks i have to offer her a realistic price and keep it for a hack car. So any of you bimmer sportians know what it's worth? 1988 Corolla AE92 FXGT Auto. Climate air, metallic paint and few bumps and scrapes. 146km. last owner had it forever. Needs: new tyres, a/c is low on gas, a few rattles fixed, front/rear bumpers banged up. So just need a rough idea of how much you'd pay your mum for it so as not to upset her too much! And - any of you guys know how much the insurance companies would charge for a 16 year old female to insure it - third party only. sorry to post a Japper - but its not the worst car in the world. ta, duncan

lol - i use my steering lock that goes across the steering wheel. use the end of the arm on the pedal and the other end on the wheel!!

i still wince every time i think of the time tmc stuffed up a routine a/c service on my e36. they broke some very expensive switch which happens to be right next to the inlet port on the drier, and happily charged nearly $400 to fix their stuff up. the irony is that they outsource their a/c work anyway. I'm about to change the filters on mine too, as it sounds like there's very little air flow on low speed fan settings. I can bet they weren't changed during my "a/c service" . I've now decided my hard earned cash can go to nice people like hellbm, who found me a bonnet and door trim in double quick time. Duncan

Yet again (3rd time) the brake light switch in her e36 is failing (stops working if used often, eventually fails). Its a pain to replace, and team mc charge like wounded bulls!! Anyone have similar experience. I've owned car for 9 years so i guess 1 every 3 years is not too painful, but it i pain in the but to fix the same thing again and again dunc

Can someone take a photo of the Fuse diagram in a e46 and post it here?. its missing in the car I'm trying to fix!!! Specifically i'm looking for the radio/cd fuses as its been disconnected as it starting making weird noises after one of their kids stuffed 2 cds in the cd drive (doh) duncan
