How is it that the m10 manual bolts up to a m30? And what would i need to get it running? engine mounts...etcwhat would be involved extacly? and it would have to get a low volume cert. aye?

So you reckon you could get an m52b28 5 speed in an e30 done and dusted for 8k? Wouldnt that be a bit of a tight budget.

I think that would be a BIT out of my price range...

I am thinking about putting an m42 engine in my e30 and want to know whats involved. I know the 318is e30 used the same engine as the e36 318is so would a e36 318is engine bolt into any e30 easily with out modfication? And also it it easy to get 155 ish hp out of them? Also would the gearbox out of my m10 318 manual fit up to it? i know its a long shot but just woundering?

Ok this is not for me but just woundering out of interest what everyone would put in an e30. Your budget is $8000 and it has to be a bmw engine, so what would you put in? For me it would have to be an m50b25 or a m30 of some sort.

Thats alot of cars, mind you i am going down that track too, im 15 on my learners and have had:- e30 f/l 316 manual sold, e30 f/l 325 auto sold, e30 p/fl 318 manual, maybe a e30 p/fl 320 auto at the end of this weekend.

I know this is sold, but i was woundering if this engine would bolt into a e30 m10 318, or would i have to fidle around with wiring and stuff like that. Because i thought if they are both m10's and one is just a 2 litre wouldnt they have the same wiring and stuff as a 1.8 litre?

Whats wroung with 318's?

I was looking round my e30 today, and then an idea came to mind, carb, its an m10 and isnt that the same engine the 2002s use, ofcourse there a bit different but the base is the same. Now i wanted to know if it would be worth it, would there be a good power gain? more torque?. Cheers

I guess these are only for six cyclinder engines?
