  1. Tristan's kinda right, the car had numerous bugs and teething issues to sort, but once they were done it's been reliable. Half of the issues stemmed from a lack of knowledge or care fro,m the first outfit involved in NZ, and then some issues with LHD vs RHD compatibility, then it had issues with throwing codes and CELs, but Gintani were very helpful in resolving them all. Fingers crossed its reliable for the new owner.

  2. Hi guys,

This was just traded at our work.

Want $1500 for it or its going to the auctions

    1995 318i auto

230ks from memory (I need to check this)

Body is tidy, BBS wheels with decent tread.

Interior has the typical E36 issues, headlining, door cards and glovebox upholstery all scruffy.

    Has an alarm

Has a nice looking euro twin tip muffler

    Newish JVC headunit

    Located on the North Shore

  3. Saw a very tidy Anthracite Grey E39 M5 just down the road from me in Grey Lynn. Can't be many of these and it wasn't Dave O's Old V8 M plate.

The car didn't sell with those V8M plates. I think the new plate is HJT*** something as I've also seen it in ponsonby recently.

  4. All utes come with a manual option. Every single model on the market.

So of course VW are going to follow suit as they are the new boys.

Ford Ranger is a better ute IMO, I drove both back to back for two days each and the Ranger had more grunt, more features, more standard spec, safer, was nicer to drive, bigger rear seats and tray and cheaper. I've had mine (remapped) and done 80ks with no issues. I did buy an auto one but I don't think that matters in this case....

  5. Yeah I understand how it all works, all euro plates are "special issue" from Personalised plates,

What I should have said was I just want a euro plate that reads like a standard issue plate not a personalised one, IE 3 letters and 1-3 numbers.

  6. Im trying to ignore the pointless argument going on above, (seriously we've heard it all before auto vs manual)., but I can't...

If manual is what the world wanted it's what the world would order with a new car. But the majority don't, and the advancement in autos vs the lack of opportunity for advancement in manuals is fast making them redundant. Complaining on here won't change it anyway so what's the point?

If you really think it's such a big market, get some capital backing, order 100 manual BMW models (parallel import even) and then sell them yourself to the currently "ignored market". If your right you'll make good money and make BMW sit up and take notice. Personally I'd rather invest in an Airconditiong business in Antartica.

Seriously, The writing is on the wall with this one, let it go.

    But for the OP

This car isn't listed as a 330i rather a 330 so hasn't had a lot of views and the price keeps tumbling,

Ks are reasonable, colour is right and I'd bet you would own it for $7500. Bring it to auckland, drop it of to ray of the conversion out of that coupe. Hey presto, manual 330i for less than most autos are selling for.

    Might be worth a look
