Hi all, sort of by accident had a fabulous drive around Lake Taupo on saturday in the trusty E30 with my youngest . Took a couple of hours and some of the views were breathtaking, very little traffic and glorious weather - heres some pics and the GPS tracking for the day - didn't take anywhere near enough of them.. cheers

I dont think the E46 had the M42 motor, had the M43 and N42 I believe ? , the M42 was in the E30 318is and E36ti I think.. anyway there was a thread regarding the M42 swap ..

I’m looking for a full set of leather seats or good condition fabric seats. Based in Auckland but happy to travel. Black would be ideal.
Name your price.
Cheers,
Go Euro were advertising a set not long ago , just had a look and they've sold now unfortunately - give Ed there a shout they get stuff in all the time - https://goeuro.nz/

Hi guys, a bit of a punt but will ask anyway - am after some iS or similar skirts for my E30 coupe - can get from CATuned but a bit pricey when the shipping and potential GST landed is taken into account, will go that way if there's nothing available locally - Auckland preferred but beggars can't be choosers, cheers Al

I thought the M325 was a 325is in other markets. Same car, different badge.
Same story with the E34 M535i?
Be interesting to see the invoice for the engine build.
Either someone’s taken him to town, he’s jacked up the rebuild figure to justify his asking price, or an attempt to impress a potential buyer who wouldn’t have the know how on changing a tyre - someone like Mike Hosking or Jack Tame springs to mind.
Hell, for around $22k I could build a 15 litre Cummins or Cat, or 16 litre Volvo inc cylinder head that will be good for 1 million km.
same name, different specs in differnt markets.. very confusing, certainly no expert just google a lot - for eg the South african 325is Evo2 as on TradeMe at the moment had a lot of Alpina influence, 2.7ltr (probably a better name would have been 327is) and M3 bits such as 5 stud wheels, some had and Aluminium bonnet / doors ... https://www.alpina-archive.com/?page_id=7678

.. strange place to list it under 'specialist cars' listed in excess of a month and I've never seen it searching for BMW-latest listings
-
.. not an is .. its a beaut but 'just' a 325i - there is a 325is Evo2 on TM at the mo.. north of $60k https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1797945988.htm?rsqid=e549e0db10c04da0a04185f863a0b22d

i used paint solvent on a bit of rag, then a good soapy clean to remove anything left, left no marks on paintwork whatsoever

I had a Mitsi Outlander a few years ago with wood internal trim, turns out they didn't do it as a factory option and it was an aftermarket kit that someone had put on, never knew until I came to sell it - they can be very good if put on right - have a look here https://www.dashkitspecialties.com/dash_kits_bmw.html no X4 listed as yet on this site though

wasn't quick enough with the camera but a Z1 on Remuera Road on saturday - looked to be a black or dark blue/green colour. First one I've ever seen in the fleash, not a big fan of them TBH but a rare sight nonetheless
