If you remove a safety system from your car... they will not accept it as a modification.. get real you guys
I second that, i can almost guaranttee that your insurance would be void, espcially if the accident could have been prevented by traction control.

Im having a huge cleanout of my imported goods on trademe, wannatradea, and my website, www.mojoimports.com
There are alot of goods at cost price so grab a bargain
I dont mean to spam, I was going to advertise my reverse sensor systems (with alot of children being injured in NZ these days) but just figured id put a link to everything I had since this is a sale page.
Happy shopping
LOL you should post the link to your listings not your current sales(no one else can see apart from you)

Whoever thinks dark tints are dangerous and immature has problems with spreading their views. Half of the sunglasses on sale have less than 20% light rating, so yes, when your driving with your sunnies down(as alot of people do) your in effect looking through all round 20% window tints, think about that. The main reason tints were restricted wasn't because people couldn't see out of them (infact they help people see better without sunstrike and glare), but to enable other motorists to see you/ where you are looking. Next time you drive, notice how half the time you'll be looking at other drivers to see whether they look like there about to go/ pull out and so on, if you a hlaf decent driver you will always be looking at the intentions of other motorists. The tint on the front windscreen(deside it being very illegal) seems like a bloody smart idea, I hate the glare and harsh light when driving in the sun, and without the one side tinted a hell of alot of light still gets through. (but trust me, you will find its like night time in there, if all windows tinted- even at 35% very little light will get through, it would be like 5% all round but without the frint done... seriously.) Best thing I did was get a 7inch strip of tint along the top of the front windscreen- legal, gets rid of glare, and looks good.
Was just thinking that, who drives in the middle of the night with sunglasses on? And if you did you couldn't see sh*t!

You talking about mine or Dark's one ?hey that 540 looks stunning with those mags!! are they 35 profile? Awesome colour car too! I saw an exact same set of wheels on trademe really wanted them but they wouldnt fit a 540 ;-( thought they'd look sweet tho.....hoping the M6 ones will look as good, Hoping to avoid the wildlife but its pretty hard up here!!
RE Sports suspension button yup mines got it....thanks for that will give it a go tommorow......does it really make a difference? Cant wait to try it! Are there any other toys on this thing I need to know about?
Have any of you guys tried a K&N type panel filter on a 540i do they make any difference, are they worth the money?
Sorry to keep asking questions but anyone know how to get the dvd sat nav working 4 over here? Also can u retrofit parking sensors?

I've got a 530 and a blitz pod filter, it does make a slight difference. But next step i need to install an Cold Box.

I'm running 19" also. The ride is a bit more stiff, i think the next time i need tires i'm going to a slightly bigger profile tires. But i got such a good deal on these i couldn't pass it up. $1995 for the mags and tires (Dunlop Sport Maxx). The only other thing that i may consider doing is just lowering the front by 30mm or so.

Doesn't work on my E39

What is it then..I thought it was a USA spec E46
I'm 99% sure it's not one. But i could be wrong.

There goes my dream of HID indicators and reverse lamps, would have impressed so many people
Actually i think it's Umnitza that sells HID reverse lights already, i was tempted to buy some buy i think it was $150USD it's a tad expensive.

It was correct when i played it at 4AM

My car already has factory HID for the low beams, but normal halogen for the high beams. Would it be ok to upgrade my high beams to HID as well, since scatter on high beam shouldn't bother other drivers? Or would I still fail a WOF? The high beams are reflectors, not projectors.
I would definatly NOT recommend this, as HID are not designed to be constantly turned on and off as you would during highway driving at night time. It drastically reduces the life of the HID's.

Got a pic of your car? I'm in dunedin too.

M5 HANDS DOWN!

that just reminds me of the one i had, it was such a nice car to drive. Fully optioned out..

There are literally dozens of e39's around at the moment so take your time and perhaps look further afield to find one in a main center that has a dealer for a pre-purchase check.
A well looked after 540 will be a gem, a 540 needing work will cost you an arm and a leg.
Fully agree !

I'd like to just thank:
Brent- for the information provided during the weekend - really nice and friendly guy
Gleen - for the advice regarding the E39 - also a really nice guy
Wayne - for the opportunity of testing out the headers, unfortunatly it didn't work out, but we've sorted something out and i'm more than happy atm - maybe in future when i have more $ and more information we could try it again.
Until then thanks for all the input from everyone.

I really have to disagree with this one, it's not fair to penalise some one with a 745i for accidentaly going 115 on the motorway vs a sh*t ass car going 115 on the motorway... that will just be f**ked!
EDIT: thats just like saying, your black so you suffer double the concequences....
