  1. You haven't stated which you consider to be the "best" pair....To be honest I don't think you'll notice any difference in performance between them. But arguably in the dry the half worn pair are the best as you'll get less tread block movement which will mean the tyres stay cooler and therefore shouldn't overheat leading to a loss of grip. Assuming of course they don't use a multy level compound construction which gets harder as it wears. Plus if you have them on the front turn in should be crisper. And it should track better. In the wet they'll perform the same up to the point where the half warn ones stop pumping the water away and start to aquaplane. Of course the above is pure theory (total BS even?) and isn't overly applicable in the real world. In conclusion, if it was me I'd put the half worn ones on the rear to even out the wear and get maximum mileage out of both sets.

    540iS Ltd

All E34 M5s had those black 5 spoke wheels, they then have magnesium covers over the wheels either T-stars (late) or M Turbines (early) depending on year, so he one you've seen is missing its covers (LOL technically M5s have hub caps ) EDIT** sorry not all E34 M5s had the 5 spoke wheel, the late 3.8L six speeds had M Parallels **

    My bro's ride

ROFL, nice Glenn, subtle even Next time to make the point abit more obvious you could also add: :rambo: or :gay: or :puke: or maybe even  :finger:
  8. You don't/can't rebuild most viscous LSDs, for a plate type LSD it would depend on how locked it is and how hard it's used, change the oil in it regualy and treat it with care and they last a reasonable amount of time....
  9. You need to fill it with something then, a turbo maybe??.....
  10. I hear ya, I've had my 535 about as long as you and its cost me a small forutune so far. But, rather perversly, I love every minute of it!! Gives me such a rush when the courier arrives with a box from Shelly BMW just for me...... As for blue bulbs, this is quite a good site for info: bulb and lighting info
  11. Wow your like some sort of E34 god - Cool Do you happen to have a parcel tray with electric blind in you parts pile??? (purely for pimpin purposes of course)
  12. Cool, go E34s Did you get it from the car yard next to the bed place in the Hutt?? Thats because in the last few months its been on the road for a total of about 73 seconds, the rest of the times it's been up on (and still is...) axle stands. If you need to know anything about your E34 I know pretty much every nut and bloody bolt on them! (although my specialist subject is manual 535sports not 525s) E30-323ti - LOL it makes Uber 3 look so small!! damn aircraft carrier.
  13. Sounds like you have the premium stereo if you have the 6 speakers in the front so you should have an amp. It will be in the boot on the passenger side behind the trim mounted on a flat bracket. If it does have a dead channel I think your options are pretty limited. You could replace the factory amp with a second hand one or replace the head unit and run the speakers off the head unit or install your own amp and run them off that. Either way you won't be able to use all the factory speakers as they are and to be honest I think the factory speakers are pretty crap, especially the rears, which are mounted to the parcel tray with tiny cup like enclosures. You can put 6inch components in the front using the kick panels and either the factory mid location or the tweeter location. But if you use the factory amp you'll miss out on the mid range..... Hope that helps (actually, I just hope you can understand that!) P.S If you don't have a factory amp then ignore all the above and, hell, I have no idea what you should do.

    My new rims!

Cool, now all you need is some Jamex springs and a custom big brake upgrade. Actually come to think of it I know someone who could help you out there.....
  19. Ahhh yes that would be me. Have looked at a few options, Lexus V8, 1JZ, 2JZ but for a number of reasons have gone back to the good old M30!
  20. Busted!!! How'd you know? was it the chessy grin still on my face from the dyno run on Saturday??
  21. Hi, my first post I saw a red E30 Turbo in Lower Hutt the other day and was wondering if it belonged to anybody here?? Saw what looked like a E30 with MASSIVE bull bars on the front coming towards me, but it actually turned out to be an intercooler with very large plumbing either side!!!!
