Does anyone know the history of this? https://www.trademe.co.nz/1410787481

Hi guys, thanks for all the support. Turned out to be a false alarm. Wellington Council 'relocated' the car for roadworks of some kind and forgot to log it into their system… So all is well and glad to have my car back. However over these past few days, I have been tempted by a few other e30/36's so maybe it's time for an upgrade anyway. ^MoJoJoe: I would recommend getting insurance especially after this event, even if it's third party, fire and theft. Cheers

Thanks guys. Yes it is insured. Ironically just replaced the ECU and got it running again as the compartment had flooded a few weeks ago. Wouldn't have got far without having had it replaced..

Hi guys, Car has been stolen in Wellington Central (parked where The Terrace meets Buller Street). Please keep an eye out and report to the Police if seen. Thanks

Bosch Red Label 0261200413. The silver one has the same Bosch number. Chassis is JA91352. I was thinking the same as antil33t - that the EWS from the silver would have nothing to talk to anyway? Thanks
-
Hi, I've done some research and people seem to bypass EWS and put the older Red Label 413 DME into their cars. However I am asking about the reverse: My e36 had a Red Label 413 DME and my friend has a Silver Label 413 DME (EWS) spare that I could use - will this work? Or do I have to use another Red Label? Thanks

Hi guys Wanting a Red Label Bosch 0261200413 DME. Also wondering whether a Silver label 413 DME (presumably with ews) will work as well. It should have no immobiliser to communicate with? Thanks Hugo

Hi guys, Looking for bumper trim as per title - Ray only has full sets and I only need the passenger side. Located in Auckland. Thanks!

Nice work man! Looking forward to seeing it on the road. I was thinking to myself, how the hell did he get his floor so tidy and clean!? Then realised it was your wall.

Thanks for the kind offer Andy. Will let you know if I haven't sorted it by then.

Oh great thanks for the advice. This is the radiator? http://www.redlineperformance.co.nz/products/radiators/bmw/mgp-5430/%C2'> I'm guessing I'll need to order a new expansion tank too?

Hi guys, Been a long-time lurker and admirers of all your cars. I'm mainly into e30's but recently found an e36 for a price I couldn't say no to. It's a 1995 325i M-Sport Auto (for now) and just ticked over 200k's in Diamond Schwarz Metallic I think. Home is in Auckland and based in Wellington during most of the semester for Uni. Looking forward to coming to meets and picking your brains for ideas! Seeing as it has done 200k's with unknown history, I am wanting to refresh the cooling system. All my tools are in Auckland and would be very grateful if someone could lend me some tools and/or a hand - willing to pay in your beverage of choice. Is the following enough or what would you advise? - Waterpump - Alloy Water Flange - Thermostat - Drive Belt Thanks in advance, Hugo (Guy in photo is not me, he's my flatmate)

I think I was driving behind you today after work on Tinakori Rd. The Type 3's really sets it apart and nice kit. Looks much better in real life (even though it was raining).
-
Oh right it's that car. With the push start button etc.? Close thread

Hi, At the price, it's quite tempting. Anyone know the story behind the re-shell? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=579139048

Had its head rebuilt last beginning of last year and if I recall correctly, plugs and leads were changed. Will check the dizzy cap tomorrow (was too difficult/lazy to do it earlier). Might just change all three and see what happens.

Hi guys, I have a 1990 e34 518i manual. After a long trip from Auckland to Wellington, it developed a random jerk whilst driving. Have checked the spark plugs and they look fine. It's weird as the jerk only starts when the engine is at operating temp. (the needle right in the middle) and not before that. I think it only occurs upon acceleration over 2.5k revs and stops if I go past 3k. Just wanted to see where I should start diagnosing the problem. Thanks

What should I be looking for when viewing? Surprised it's still for sale, has been relisted already.

Hi guys, This M3 looks very decently priced, was wondering if anyone knows the history of the car? Is it too good to be true? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=505761445
-
No, I'm in Auckland. Yeah, I wonder how many are left..

Thanks guys, will see if I can find a cheap set new. The car doesn't get much use so not much point in getting anything flash.
