Send it to a mechanic, or a shop you trust.. and help them so you learn and understand it is not an overly complicated thing to figure, out.... Guys some people with a bit of info can be dangerous to them selves and others... please remeber safety, if you dont understand it and how it works its a good idea to have someone help you. safety is all i push here.. not having a go at anyone...

New way to stiffen your suspension!
satellitej replied to cliffdunedin's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
hey sorry, new to this forum, not many posts? what is bumping? -
The BC golds are good stuff, have had them in my bmw and had them in my silvia previous for a couple of years... never any issues, they are rebuildable etc, servicable.. very good bang for buck, the D2 suspension i do not hold in the same league the xyz i wont comment, as i dont know. and the old bc red suspension is no good.

a King spring snapped on the Holden Hotlap car at pukeohe race track, i was looking after these cars from Ps automotive in pukekohe at the time.. George stocks gave him a brand new pair free of charge, but it could of been a big disaster.. The e30 series suspension is ok and it works, and works well it does. i aint bagging it, but if you want to enter the e30 series its all you can use, if you aren't entering that series, there is better bang for your buck i believe.. I definately wouldn't swap my suspension out for the e30 race series suspension. Thats my opion though. If you are after any more info then please pm me, P.S do you get sick of sipping tea while racing the e30 series... hahaha dont take it to heart just friendly banter..

Lowering Springs , Shocks, e30. WANTED
satellitej replied to JesseRaymond's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
i have shocks and springs.. the springs are H&R i believe they are red but quite old came with the car brought of a mechanic at work.... they were in my bmw e30 before i upgraded to bc adjustables.. will sell cheap as, they are taking up storage space, you can have all my old shocks for free too... but the condition aint so good i believe (i am a perfectionist to some). make you own judgement though.. -
E30 Wheel fitment... 17x8" et38.. spacers.. your thoughts
satellitej replied to satellitej's topic in Wheels & Tyres
just wondering with what size tyre you are running on your rims? -
Hey guys, havn't been with the site to long, was having a look for info through the wheel section and couldn't quite come to the point of clearing my mind.. I have obtained myself a set of mint lenso 17x8" et38 rims in a mesh style with polish lip.. they came with 240 race slick kumho tyres on them (these are for sale make an offer are in really good cond.), looking to swap out for either 215 or 205/40/17's and having a bit of stretch, im into that at the moment and believe will make fitting a bit easier also. i understand 38 offset isn't right for the e30 and wheel spacers are going to be needed.. i have some 26mm wheel spacers and 36mm wheel spacers sitting around.. but i believe the 36mm will be to big, i am thinking of running the 26mm in the front and getting some 20mm in the rear.. the reasoning... a) a wider front track to a narrow rear track promotes oversteer but the difference is fractional anyway... i already have the 26mm spacers and they were free... c) i am running adjustable bc suspension and i know the fitment of clearing the front suspension set up could be and issue.. does anyone have any feedback? by going this big on the wheel spacer am i creating alot of work by having to roll and pump my guards alot? i know the only way to really know is by trial fitting and checking. i am awaiting getting my tires so i can begin. but id like to hear your thoughts, and if anyone has done a similar size wheel etc before.. oh btw, i am also picking my new sr20 engine up next week, my plan is of having this in the 30 this year also..

satellitej replied to APT's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
