  1. What velcro did you use and how much? I'm going to probably get some 3M velcro strips and just pile it on haha.

Dont know what brand as the plates that came on the car were velcroed on when i baught it. i only have 2 strips at each end of the plate. you could chuck a few in the midle just for peace of mind

  2. I used 3M heavy duty tape but it holds f**king hard so I'm thinking I might drill it so that I can take them off and on more easily. That way I don't have to velcro Alpine on haha :) (I don't drive with it velcroed)

my plates have been velcroed on for the past 3 years. they even stayed on at hampton downs.

  3. Waipu cove, take highway 16 up then along 1 then cut across to mangawhai then up. Can take state highway back. Thats about 2-3 hours ...

Im looking at doing a Kaiwi lakes mission .. however Im still testing the range (lack of) of the e30

I havent been up those ways for a long time so could be the go.

yeah you would want to know how many km you can do to a tank. never good running out of gas!

  4. From what I have heard there are 2 in NZ. A silver one with the 'Downforce kit' in Silver/grey and thats in Porirua but it must have made a roadtrip up to Auckland because its plate is 'MCL F1'. Owned by one of the Whittakers (as in Peanut Slab whittakers) family members, chassis number #18. It had the 'Downforce kit' added in 2000 while it was in Germany, delivered to Japan and also spent some time in Sweden, Germany and Singapore before coming here. The other one I have no info on apart from it being purple.

there was one for sale on TM a couple of years ago. i think it had a price tag of 3mill

there was a thread on here linking to the add
