My car is in the wars atm, It currently has a smashed window (someone broke into it), and I drove through House paint on the road.
I do not have any idea how to get it off, I have tried everything from Ridiculously strong paint thinner putty to WD-40, but house paint cannot come off without damaging the original paint.
So unless anyone has any ideas how to solve this issue, ill have to get the whole door e.t.c repainted
Here is a few pictures

Soooo are you thinking of selling your wheels in future?
Ahh Not anytime soon haha, Just looking for some coilovers atm
-
Seems like you've done all the right research, doesn't matter if the nuts are longer then the studs if that's what you mean
I guess ill have to measure the distance between the two, so the stud doesnt hit the end of the Nut before the nut is fully screwed in to the wheel
If that makes sense haha

Hey guys, On the lookout for some Coilovers for an E30,
Thanks

I'd go with the gold personally. Always thought the gold BBS looked really good on a white E30

Hi, are you running 16x9's on the front aswell
Yeah i am, If you have the option get 8" or 8.5" at the front would be perfect but yeah as you can see it sticks quite far out,
I do plan to get some Adjustable suspension so i can run quite a bit of camber to eliminate the tyre gap :/ and tuck the front a bit more
-
So is that what you have done to your headlights @e30ftw? was it a hard process?
-
I havent heard of much people running that setup, let me know how it goes for you though
-
So this write up would be illegal in New Zealand?

There 16" wheels, and about the steering its fine? no wobbling lol. . i have hubcentric rings to get the center bore sitting right. I had to take the Rear spacers off the back as it guard rubbed with people in the back, even with a guard roll :/
-
I am running 205/45/r16s on a 9inch rim with a offset on +15
It has 5mm spacers all round to clear the front struts.

These wheel nuts cam with a set of Wheels i purchased a while ago and i have been planning on doing a stud conversion for the ease of changing wheels, and the fact i can use the wheel nuts i was giving
http://rayswheels.co.nz/html/rays_gear.html
I realise they are 50mm long, and the range is 35mm of thread i believe
I have done some research and thought these studs would be the best,
http://www.vorshlag.com/product_info.php?c...products_id=389
but im not sold as i dont want to buy them as they might not work with the wheel nuts,
Any advice? or solutions?
Cheers

Looking good! Where did you get those BBS reps and do they come with centre caps?
Got the wheels off a guy off trademe, and yeah they did but didnt look good
-
From my experience even with a good set hub rings the wheels still don't ride as well than those with the correct bore.
If you have any worn suspensions bushes vibration can also be more noticeable a certain speed too.
I got the Hub - Centric rings on so now it sits properly
--------
I also rolled the guards and took off the 5mm spacer that i was running at the back cos it rubbed a little bit with 5 people in the car but no guard rub now with a roll at the back.
I also have a set of Cobra lowering springs and a set of Super low king springs for the front of my car that i will test at some stage so my car doesnt look like a boat at the front haha
-
yeah iv been driving around a bit :/ probably shouldnt be anyway, it guard rubs with a couple people in it. but its not real bad so i am getting a guard roller this week.
I am going to get Hub rings machined to to 56.1mm so they go on properly, Guys on trademe sent me the wrong size lol
-
Wish i had a 325i LSD haha
Gotta hate those Unpredictable Open Diffs lol
-
Wicked. You could get 4cyl super lows (for a 318i, they sit abit lower in a 6cyl).
Did you roll your rears or get any rubbing?
Have not rolled the guards yet, will do that before i go anywhere. sometime this week, and drove down the street didnt have any problems.
I havent put any hub centric rings in yet, do you think i can drive on the wheels without them?
Wheel Corrosian/Rust Removal
in Wheels & Tyres
Posted · Report reply
Hi there, having an issue in regards to my left front wheel as my brake calipers are worn at it is causing corrosion on my wheel, creating a nice layer of Rust and other oxidization.
I believe my wheels are aluminium so they aren't rusting themselves but its just corroding.
I've seen multiple forums saying ways to do it but nothing really worked, some people used Tinfoil and coke to remove rust? but im not game enough to Aliminium tin foil on my rim?
If anyone could shed some light on this that would be awesome
Cheers
