  1. Looks pretty good so far!

Front end tyre gap needs to match the rear, big gap up front looks weird.

Yeah im still figuring how im going to tackle that, maybe get coilover sleeves in the front. or try pick up a set of coilovers 2nd hand from Nz if there are any for e30s haha.

Or a set of those JOM coilovers from Ebay but still a bit hasty about them not 100% sure if theyll be alright, they would only be for street use, so i dont see the huge problem with getting them its not like im racing

  2. Finally got my Tyres on. . . . Here are some pictures

    I am currently running 205/45/r16s on a 9inch rim with a offset on 15+

pretty happy overall, but needs a bit more low at the front. I can only achieve this with rolling the guards which i will do soon :)

It has 5mm spacers all round to clear the front struts.

Any questions or advice, go for it lol

  3. yeah thats what i was thinking, something along the line of that thread locker.

It would be better to do it properly and see if it is actually legal, as a half ass job could end up being potentially dangerous maybe?

and the centre caps, i didnt really like them so probably wont use them really a.

Ill do some more research and see if its safe and legal

    Cheers guys,

Any questions or advice. ask away :)

  4. Hi guys Just bought some new wheels and was planning on using the new wheel nuts that came free with the wheels to change the Lug bolts on my BMW E30 into wheel nuts.

Was thinking that you could buy 16 bolts the same diameter and length and make them permanently stay in the hub?

    Any Ideas?

Was Just wondering if anyone has done this on here?

  5. Have the same wheels with the same tyres, Tough to fit and mines at about the same height. Theres a bit in the rear guard that needs to be rolled out or else you will chew abit of the sidewall.

Looks mint though, Will look nice on the wheels.

Yeah I think ill have to get Spacers at the front to clear the struts, about 5mm. but yeah definitely need to guard roll

I dont know much about guard rolling, is it a big process lol?

  6. Its not much haha but this is my E30.

  7. I have Bought wheels for my Car, Finally :) but i have been doing a bit of research on Coil overs and these are the cheap option or i will eventually save up for decent Coilovers.

    BUT.

I can get Coilovers Called TA Technix, similar to JOM coilovers for around $550 landed, off Ebay.

    Coilovers <---------------------

    Thoughts?

They had a couple good reviews but i guess you pay for what you get, i am only looking for the ride height really as it isnt a race car haha

  8. Staggered is not a look it is a smart way to balance up the handling of the car and get better turn in by using an optimum sized front tyre.

Those wheels look like nasty knock offs

what does it matter? im not really financially prepared to pay $3000 for genuine BBS Rs wheels that are nearly worth more than the car itself lol.

If they don't break on me whilst driving my car then i am happy and they look the same as RS wheels anyway?

  9. Yeah i have seen Esm002s on Ebay, They look pretty good actually. is that your car?

and what tyre are you running?, quite alot of stretch haha looks good

Oh and what Centre Bore are your wheels? i believe an E30 centre bore is around 53? i think lol and the wheels i am looking at are 73.1 will this be a problem? if anyone knows

  10. Was just asking all the Gurus out there if they know of anywhere I could buy these wheels in different Sizes as i don't think i could run 16x9s at the front without running into problems so was looking to have 8s on the front. I did ask them if they had 8s but they didnt.

But Opinions would be helpful :)

and the +20 offset might be a problem for the 9s maybe?

here are the wheels -----> WHEELS

  11. r3v is a good forum, i havent been active for ages seeing as i dont have a modded E30, but might go kick some tyres there again at some stage. all this sort of aftermarket type stuff for E30s you can find there.

Yeah i signed up there a while ago, quite good yeah.

Those Coilovers had quite a good Review considering the Price, looks like i may buy some. not sure about the Exchange rate though :/

  12. dont forget, going up another 2 inches in wheel size will make a difference to perceived ride height as well, your tucking tyre on 14s there in the back, that will be quite close to the rim with 16s.

from the awkward angle photo in your sig, i'd personally say its about bang on for height as it is now.... hard to know what its like in real life and only you will know

Yeah that is true, it does sit okay at the back with minor camber but yeah will see what its like with wheels on it

  13. FWIW, there is no way you will get a decent looking stance with springs / shocks. I went pretty much as low as you can go in the front with some #YOLO spring setup which ended me up having a nice segment coming up on Highway Cops and a pink sticker..

e30 chassis sits alot lower, the front rails and control arms easily go under 100mm, but if you do you need a cert. But whats the point you will have a crap suspension setup and so forth whereas adjustables will let you go alot lower and still have proper suspension travel.

What did you get pink sticker for though, cut springs?

and yeah i know what you mean. coil overs give you so much more options for ride height lol in comparison to shocks/springs.
