  1. Non-shortened standard shocks, with Eibach rears and H&R fronts. Rides and handles not that great.

All wheels are 15x7 15p. Stance is subjective, so up to you how you want it to look, but your rear end is too low IMO. Slap on tyres and wheels 1st, then go from there haha

Fair enough, it looks low in that picture but it rides nicer than the springs that where in it so i am happy with them lol

and yeah that was the plan, it is a bit of a guess on what they'll look like in a way as i have not come across anyone running those wheels with that set-up, it will be interesting as but i have looked into different wheel set-ups and 16x8 and 9s appeals to me the most really

  2. I think that's what you meant Andy

Jamex superlows and shorten your shocks, cheapest option IMO. Are you going custom offset with those Varrstoens?

Maybe +15 for the 9s and not sure about the 8s? what you reckon?

at the moment i have lowering springs and yeah have heard that shortening shock was a option but was just trying to get peoples opinions.

  3. what part of nz are you in mate?

if your in christchurch i can probably help you out, easy job if you have the gear.

i assume your planning on getting some lower springs than your currently running?

otherwise shortening the struts is a bit pointless because you'll just wind up with more spring preload and a car that isnt any lower. shortening struts is really a way of keeping springs captive not lowering ride height.

like everyone else said, there are several cheap coilover options for e30s on trademe, definitely the easy way out if you want to spend the money.

Southland, well Central Otago at the moment but yeah i am planning on buying a set of 16x8/9s for my car

    These : Posted Image

If i do get them i dont think it will be low enough for the way i want it to sit, if you get what i mean? and yeah i have looked at coilovers on trademe, around $2000 after cert i guess.

But yeah guess if you want it to sit nice then coilovers are the best Option

  4. So the other day I managed to completely blow my diff in my 320i so was curious to see if anyone had a Small or medium case diif that i could buy?

Also if anyone has any advice on e30 diffs in reference to small or medium case if they both bolt straight in or not?

  5. The wheels you linked to are 15" ?

Heaps of guys on here are running 15's and they look very cool especially in the 8"

Just would rather 16x8s, and yeah there isnt much around in 4 x 100

If anyone has any they want to sell PM me

  6. And yeah guess it isnt a wise idea, also saves the hassle of getting cert for them to + another $400 :/

But yeah not having much luck finding a set of wheels in 16" as i reckon 15" would look to small on my car

  7. I have been looking at buying a set of wheels, and I went to try them on tonight as they guy did not not no the stud pattern and they were 4 x 114.3 so they did not FIT! lol

These are the wheels, they are pretty good for the price so was pretty keen on them so started thinking about adaptors.

So i was wondering if anyone has ran adaptors and what they are like e.t.c?

These are the wheels if anyone was curious. .

  8. Koni do a shorter standard shock.

I have the full size ones and (king springs) 30mm lower, and that's fine.

It's actually piss easy to do shocks and springs on an E30. Any GOOD Mechanic should be able to I'd say, or somewhere like Autolign.

E30 Race Series cars use Konis and some form of King Springs, so they aren't bad.

Wouldn't piss around with Compressed springs myself...

Yeah i have looked around and compressed springs seem like the best thing to do as can get lowered to desired height, without getting coilovers lol

Do you have any pictures of the car with the king springs in?

  9. get some nice stretched look tyres probably 195 50s or with an 8 inch rim 205 50's

with that offest you wont need spacers and that also depends on how low you're going to go?

if you're gonna go real low skip the spacers if not then you could pump the wheels out slightly but imo you wont need to

    hope this helps

Yeah would love to but some adjusties for it to get it sitting flush but am planning on getting some super low springs

Had these in mind. . . but not quite sure yet
