  1. I have limited knowledge - but as far as i know they won't need certing if the hub adapters are glued to the hub because they are then classed as 'fixed' and form part of the hub, and yes you can change stud pattern, whether they do an adapter for 4x100 to 5x120 is another story. However i have been told in the past the adapters can be made to order in which case you'll be sweet! Best advice is to talk to a couple of mag shops and get their opinions.

  2. If they were 17's I'd be all over them like white on rice! I'm imagining that's what a lot of others think too.... the fact they're 5 stud (so they don't fit E30's) and only 16x8.

You got any other Hartge parts lying around? PM me!

Yeah i know, they only bolt up to e36/46, unless you use a hub adaptor. And true 17's bit more desirable. Do have something else... pm sent.

  4. I'm still confused..... that's definitely an M-tech kit you have on your car..... you even list it in your avatar as an "'96 323i M-Spec coupe". Did you retro-fit the rest of the kit as well?

If you've managed to fabricate a M-spec lookalike front bumper from a non-M bumper you are the man! :D

The car is still m-spec from factory inc front/rear bumpers and sides. It just wasn't optioned with an 'm3' front bumper. I've added a pic of when i first got it with how it was.... and then another of how it looked after i put in the mesh.

  5. You already have an Motorsport front bumper.... why would you need mine? Confused!

Haha, not all is as it seems! lol. It was a normal coupe bumper to start with! I removed the centre grill and replaced with mesh, then added the lip, oh and took out fogs and meshed them too! So its a diy motorsport.....

  6. Hi guys

Hoping someone out there can tell me how to remove my passenger side fog light. It's got heaps of moisture in it.

    Thanks for any advice.

if you don't want to break the plastic clip prob best to remove bumper. lol. i took mine out to change bulb and broke the clip, then decided to 'remove' the other one and proceeded to break that one too! I now have mesh there lol!

  7. This bumper is back on Trademe due to the sale falling through.

Ideally I would like someone in Christchurch to buy this.... however, if you wish to ship it to your address you will need to arrange everything.

    New link

Sorry to hear it fell through - i was next best bidder too lol! Shame i won't be bidding this time, got a lip for my bumper!

Good luck with the sale tho!

  8. I am looking for someone with proven car sales experience who has good BMW product knowledge for our new shop in Hamilton.

  9. So i'm thinking about selling my e30, don't know what its worth.

    - 1986 prefl 318i auto 4dr

    - 212xxxkm's

    - Body very straight, no dents. Chrome in very good condition!

    - Paint good, few scratchs on roof - thats the worst of it.

    - Got brand new wof last month, reg till next month.

    - Interior very tidy, usual cracks in dash.

    - Mechanicly seems ok to me, maybe needs a starter motor, takes a few turns when you first start her, after its been running it starts straight away. Oil and trans fluid look good. I am not a mechanic tho!

    - Will poss need 2 tyres for next wof.

    - Sony cd player.

So 2 questions, what do you think its worth and is anyone interested. It is one of the best condition e30's i've personally seen, but i guess i could be biast....

Reason for selling is i always wanted one, so i got one! But i can't drive my e36 and a work car and the e30 at the same time, so it is kinda surplus at the mo.

    Thanks.

  10. my 2c....

dunlop direzza dz101 ftw, they are slightly cheaper than sportmaxx, and while the sportmaxx will last longer, the dz101 is superior in the dry and wet and has less road noise and a rim protector. i bought these over the sportmaxx and eagle f1, which by no means are bad tyres.

i've had dz101's on the car for just over 6 months, and i won't be changing to another tyre any time soon. i believe that for average joe blogs and for someone who pushes the car every now and then these will suit both worlds.

and at the end of the day the only thing seperating you and the road are your tyres!

  11. i know my coupe has vents in the top, where my old mans sedan one doesn't - could just be cosmetic. also my gas struts have 2dr, where dads have 4dr, again doesn't mean alot. if i get time when i get back from work tomorrow i will measure. i think they will be diff tho. additional to that the coupe and sedan headlights are different - again could be cosmetic! my $$$ is on them bein diff!

  12. This calculates how far out your speedo is with original and new tyres on.

    btw, very nice 318!

I used a similar site to do the calculations, and will be getting the aftermarket wheels roughly the same as stock ones - i already have one speeding ticket on my e36 due to my speedo bein slightly out (was doin about 110 on clock, and actually 116kmh so the cop tells me haha)
