    Hi guys,

Have landed myself a cheap manual 328 E36 coupe for track days and drifting, not too familiar with BMW's, generally played around with MX5's but wanted a bigger chassis with a bigger motor that wasn't a Skyline.. Just wondering what tried and true suspension setups people here were running? Would like to avoid coilovers if possible as this isn't a big $$ build and cert would push costs out, its just something to have fun in.

I was looking into possibly M3 shocks/springs? Or is the work involved for the gain hardly worth it? Already looking into an LSD (Sadly it has a horribly open diff) and refreshing the brakes.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Which 328i did you pick up? Not the black 328is that was for sale last few weeks?

  2. Took delivery of a set of Eibach ProKit springs for Miss M's E36: -30mm/-30mm to replace the -lots currently fitted. Much cheaper than anything we could have bought locally, unfortunately - I tried. :(

Yesterday: fixed the bulb in the air con controls so the controls now light up with the headlights.

Bought coolant concentrate in prep for thermostat and similar changes at the weekend.

Looking at buying the same springs. Very keen to see some pics of them installed and hear what you think they ride like. Running factory dampners?

No. And there's no such think as OBD "one" anyway, it's all proprietary before "OBDII". Whatever you have, and you do need to post a picture, it's probably suitable for 1997+ vehicles, '99+ at the worst.

Bit you cant have two without one..... ;)
