OCD (detailing specialists) these guys do all these coatings inside and out. They specialize in it and know what they're doing. Also insured and used to dealing with people whom are as fanatical about getting it right as they area. Give Sam or Christian a call. http://www.ocdetailing.co.nz/

Hi, I am working through what shocks i am going to run in my 94 m3 and wondered how the b6 shocks lasted? Also have you done anything spring wise to lower the front end?

I have both racks sitting in my shed but cannot make my mind up as to which one I should install.
I am frustrated by the lack of feedback with my current rack and want a lore linear feel. I am not driving fast but absolutely love going sideways and the really twisty stuff.
From your experience or general knowledge which one has the better feel.
Fyi - not a daily driver.

It would seem having checked the lines, slave and master cylinder that I don't have a leak and bleeding the clutch helped but ultimately the clutch peddle is at the bottom of is compression before releasing and it's getting hard to select a gear.
The gear box feels solid and absolutely no sign of it popping out or looseness when in gear.
New clutch? Is this likely to be the reason it's hard to get into gear?
Appreciate your thoughts and experience.

I just replaced the plugs in my m54 with oem plugs. Harder to get than the common bkr6 but apparently better running. I couldn't believe how much better it ran, so I changed the plugs on the m3 and was blown away. Can't believe I didn't do it years ago. Basically Free HP. I always have a spare coil in the boot but never considered replacing whole lot as I was told they either work or they don't? ?

Yeah I've seen it. Apparently ray did conversion. Tidy but not mint and needs a bit of time spent generally cleaning it up. Good guy and a genuine see.I see the price has dropped a little on this one http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1063371668.htm
Anyone know anything about this car beyond what is in the ad?

Honestly just get the guys at OCD to sort it. You'll get what you pay for and know it's been done as well as it was ever going to be!!
Oh man wish I had seen this yesterday - was up in Aucks this morning too.
Yeah as soon as that car came up on trademe I knew it wouldnt last long. Took time off work and went down and bought it.
Slowly sorting the few issues it has ;
front tires,
wheel alignment,
re-attach some busted undertray (looks like it was driven off a curb or something)
battery drain problem - tracked it down to a faulty FSU and have 2 on the way from overseas.
Found a reciept inside for a new battery replaced 3/3/16 and also noticed the boot lights had been removed. I think the previous owner was trying to solve (but couldn't) the battery drain problem. Couple that with low voltages likely to cause all sorts of trouble codes . . . . and they probably thought it was time to get rid of it. All the better for me . Replacement FSUs are way cheaper than new batteries
Silver is the color I would have picked - way easier to look after, but Mrs likes the black ones
Tell ya what tho . . . having the motorsport is giving me a new appreciation of the 520. It handles but has that inch or so of boat in the suspension that irons out all the little bumps in the road along with the comfort seats. It really is quite a chuckable car. . . . and they do say its more fun driving a slow car fast than driving a fast car slow.
Last thing on the list for the black car is get it detailed and some sort of long lasting coating on it to keep it nice - maybe at the ming center here in hams or maybe I'll cough up for OCD. Any other recommendations for good detailing/coating would be most welcome.

If your interested I have a work mate who's decided to sell his 525d manual. Motorsport in blue. Not sure what he wants for it. Always mechanically maintained but could do with a tidy up cosmetically, nothing major tho.
Has anyone had any luck importing there own?
I would absolutely love a manual box if I could, and there is absolutely nothing available in NZ with a 6 speed box it seems. Guessing even overseas they are rare as hens teeth?
Could anyone recommend a broker/importer I could maybe make contact with to discuss this? Do the manuals come at quite a premium used?

Really happy to see the 530i went to a bimmer sport member. I was trying to sell my wife's car in time to buy that one and noticed it had been removed from Trademe, figured it was gone. Look forward to seeing it soon. I have a 03 530i in silver. Picked it up at 70km and not done 135km. It's tidy but an import which has always bothered me. You should come through for the monthly coffee meet in Penrose. It's actually on tomorrow (11am ish)

What's up with the red softop on TM? Is that the same one that was for sale a while back for 14k?
-
I also cannot speak more highy of these guys. They do everything from rare $250k cars to super cars and daily drivers. Have a chat with Christian or Sam.

Penrose, just off south eastern or mount Wellington off ramps. Industry road. Lookem up online.
awesome stuff. where are they located exactly?
-
To what?
I text him the other day and he says he still has it. He has lowered his price substantially too.
-
That'd be awesome. Where are you based?
I have one you can use. It's a Bosch taken out from a 525i 2002 m54 engine
