  1. Bel are one of the best brands out there for detectors. Arguably the best big brand (ok - the Valentine is probably the best, but it's not a big brand, but is big $$). I've used many different types over the years and would never go back to them since using Bel. Although.....my latest unit(s) has broken down twice in the last 2 years. But Bel replaced the unit with no hassles both times, within 24 hours of my reporting the fault.
  2. What pipe did you fit to achieve that increase? Or can I de-cat the stock pipe and risk Greenpeace harpooning my arse?
  3. Hi y'all I'm thinking of buying a new filter unit for my motor (96' 328i), one of those panel (not a pod unit) jobbies in a carbon fibre housing. The guy in the shop reckons they're good for another few bhp, while a guy in the local garage says they're crap and fitting one will have an adverse effect on performance. I see by some of the posts here that many of you recommend this upgrade, but I'm wondering whether any of you have any hard facts to back up the claim of increased performance, such as dyno test results etc. Many thanks.
  4. Does anyone kknow who the manufacturer of the CD stacker in a '96 E36 is please?
  5. Hi - newb here. And I'd appreciate some advice please.. I've a stock '96 328i with the factory fitted head unit + 6 disk changer, and the head unit is pretty sucky. I want to replace it with something else, but if possible keep the stock 6 disk changer. Ideally I'd like something with a decent pre-out so I can hook up some amps n stuff. Is there a decent replacement stock bemmer head unit out there? One that'd allow me to keep my current CD stacker? One with pre-amp? Any after market units capable of running my CD stacker? Any ideas who made the stackers for the E36? Any ideas? Thanks. Biff da Newb.
