  1. I feel your pain Keith - well......... not me exactly. We just got lucky with the dollar ........ it jumped to 64.5 today and we just paid for the balance of a lot of our stock that is coming!
  2. No worries, keep an eye on the forum too! We are still pretty pissed off at the factory overseas, they didn't tell us they had shortpacked the wheels until the container was halfway here!
  3. Unfortunately they only supplied two sets even though we had ordered 8 sets . Alan missed out on a set last time so I promised him a set, the other set is sunbject to a trial fit so is probably already sold as well. The next shipment won't be for at least a few months, but we do have something else coming which may be of interest(think Borbet ). I can't say any more but all will be revealed in good time!

  5. I have to agree here. I used to be a rep and spent a lot of time driving around the North Island. I can't remember the amount of times I had to slow down and pull over to the left of the road cos some moron was overtaking a car coming towards me. I started driving with my lights on and the number of 'near misses' just about disappeared! Now everytime I go on a roadtrip, the lights go on! If I have front 'fogs' they go on too - I am all about making myself as visible as possible to oncoming traffic.
  6. Sure do, I grew up in the Naki! Spent many an afternoon down that way - more specifically surfing off the groin out there at the river mouth. Even managed to knock myself out one day!
  7. nice looking car, thise Mondeo's really are a great driver's car and highly under rated here in NZ. Other pics are at Lake Rotomanu I think? Should be a golf course on your left!
  8. Ah Brent you are a superstar!!! I will give you a call tomorrow!
  9. Hi all. some moron in a truck has reversed into our car and put a rather large dent in the back of the boot. Of course they decided to drive off and not leave any details. It is not worth claiming insurance on but would rather not spend $500 getting it fixed. Does anyone have a montreal blue metallic coupe boot lid they don't want/need? cheers Johno
  10. Mike Sorry to hear about your experience but contrary to popular belief we are not all idiots. Some of us take great pride in what we do and try and deliver a very professional and personal experience. Unfortunately there are always a few bad eggs in every basket, so calling us all single digit IQ monkeys is probably a bit over the top. Have you found out whether the person that "rolled their eyes" at you was the manager or the owner? I am sure if you take up your issue with the owner then you would get a far warmer response. If not, then they obviously don't value business. In this day and age customer service is what sets shops apart - obviously in this particular case it was sorely lacking. Edited because I take things to seriously
  11. Thanks for the vote of confidence Ewen. It was great to meet you too and your Ti is agreat looking beast! I can't take much of the credit as it was Shannon that did all the work and helped you out. Look forward to seeing you again cheers Johno

  13. I am sure EVERYTHING is for sale............................ at the RIGHT PRICE
  14. don't YOU have one Brian?
  15. ^^^ exactly what Brent said. You may want to double check the offset. If they are 38 they will only work on 3 series.
  16. 9's and 10's will fit depending on the offset. Most people go 8.5 and 9.5. We have quite a few options available and a lot more coming in the next month or so. cheers Johno
  17. funny how it is also listed at $15990........... hmmmmmmmmmm wonder if it will be withdrawn just before the auction ends??
  18. sweet!! no doubt we wil see you tomorrow
  19. haha. yeah that is the work wagon! I do have an E36 motorsport coupe as well which the wife drives around in.
  20. Your first post clearly reeked of sarcasm, and that is what I had the issue with. When I was at uni we had a saying "1 book is plagurism, 5 books are research". 2 reviews on the N6000 (in my opinion) does not equate to robust criteria and does not help with making an "informed buying decision". If you had bothered to look at tyretest.com you would have found a much larger number of reviews. However, these reviews are largely pointless in the context of NZ roads. Here in NZ we have a very 'unique' surface that virtually renders overseas reviews of the tyre irrelevant. While it may help with the broader picture it really should not be used as a basis to buy tyres. What does help with an informed buying decision is people that have had 'real world experience', hence I was happy to learn what you thought about the Bridgestone vs Dunlop topic. Clearly you haven't driven on the N3000 for any extended period of time, hence my post that your comments were irrelevant and worthless. Peace out and good night.
  21. ok Ron you are the tyre guru. Obviously you have test driven on thousands of different tyres. Have you ever driven on these tyres?? If not, how can you give an opinion?? For a start, the Nexen N6000 is not available in NZ so your comments are totally irrelevant. NZ roads are far different to British roads. There are plenty of people on here who like the Nexen tyre. Granted, they may not be an out and out performance tyre. But then again, they are not a direct competitor to your precious Pirelli's. They do however, fit the criteria that a lot of people on here want. They are a good, quiet, directional tyre that wear well and offer plenty of grip. If you haven't got something constructive to say or have 1st hand experience please keep your negative comments to yourself. The point of this original post was to publicly thank a sponsor (which just happens to be me), which doesn't happen a lot. Brian is very happy with his purchase. Why can't you just leave it at that rather than dip your oar in and make a worthless and totally irrelevant post? BTW: look at how the N3000 rated at 67% (Economy Performance) vs the Bridgestone RE050 at 71% ( Ultra High Performance. That site is pretty crap any way - not a lot of reviews really.
