  1. A guy at the gym the other morning sed they just had to get their new cert for wof testing, and apparently now, chips in the windscreen 140mm in from the right side of the screen and 50 from top and bottom on the drivers side of centre are a fail (used to be cracks in that area) he was also saying that chipped headlights are sposed to fail and cracked tail lights too, B.

  2. I spoke to the guy at FBI racing yesterday who's bringing in the strut braces and they wont be here till the end of march, he's bringing in some for the e36's too, i think he said it'l be about $130 for the front one for my 36, the one on display looked pretty rough tho, dont know if they'll all be like that or not ? B.

  3. WTF??????? i can only assume that Shelley had something to do with all of theese changes.......Andrew, this site has come along way from when i asked you to remove the pics of my car from the forum, you've done an excellant job and i agree with everyone else that it would be a great shame to see it go.

I think we do need to keep the focus more on bimmers and less on things like gus's lunch however.

I have had some good ideas and some good help from topics on this site (the reason i decided to come back) but i guess change is enevitable

Even though my car failed it's wof and the mechanic crashed it into a curb it will live on and i will be back, hopefully the site will still be here, B.

  4. wow that happens to you too ? i thort it was only me that had that problem.

I learnt a good trick, wash your car infront of the garage and keep an eye on the sky so when it starts to rain you can quickly back it in, flip the bird at the sky and say really loudly "haha fuk u" ! then it stops raining and your all good again till next weekend.....

  5. I want, A virgin E36 320 or 325i manual coupe (NEVER BEEN f**kED).

Standard as possible ie: no go fast "Homo" gear nob n steering wheel, moded from new is ok but i dont want something thats been thrashed.

Preferably from a steeler so i can trade mine in on it, has anyone seen what im looking for?????????

my mechanic said a manual conversion for my car (done properly) will cost over $3500, and it'l never be as good as a factory one, he told me he didn't even want to talk about the 13b tt conversion....... so i guess thats outta the question.

He suggested goin to the steeler and finding a nice standard coupe with the biggest engine i can get and five speed, swap all my goodies onto it and mod the hell out of it. makes sense to me when i look at it like that too.

    Any help will be appreciated.....

    Thanks, B.

  6. Mmmk....... you have seats but no car ? i would have got the car first i think......neway, two front seats done out of leather, no piping or extras, and without seeing them id say probably around $500 for one or $800 for both. (thats a rough estimate not a quote). Pm me if anyone wants more info. B.

  7. Bimmer boy:

Depends on what material you want to use, i like working with leather, you can cut it small and stretch it on, to a certain point, basicly its nice to work with.

I have an e36 and havent attempted to do my own seats yet, they look quite difficult with the extending leg support ect. If your seats are out of the car i'd like to have a look at them, then i could give you a better idea of price.

I only have one question, why do you want them piped ? i dont think piping will suit them, B.

  8. Shelley, if you gona give my company a plug at least get the name right! it's Gulf Harbour Covers.

Speakeasy, no im not from Thames, yes i do upholstery, i retrimmed shelly's car in the cream leather ( don't look too close, that was first attempt ). if you really want i can give you a price but i am real busy so it'd have to be cash and in the weekend, which means cheap but not quick, from memory it takes about a day per seat, providing there the same as Shelley's, so it may take a few weeks.
