Ah thanks mate but I'm running 195/45s at the moment and there isn't enough room for them, must go smaller. I Just got a reply from LK Performance in the UK who have sorted the T1Rs for me. Landed they work out to $270 each so not too bad.

I need a pair of 195/40/16s (preferably Toyo T1Rs). I have rung just about every tyre shop I can, most have told me they're not made anymore, the rest have said none are in stock. Best option so far is importing from Japan at around $400 per tyre. Has anyone had any success finding odd sized tyres before? I can see them on ebay.co.uk but I imagine air freighting a pair of tyres would blow out the cost hugely. Any options considered! Anything under $400 each is a bonus! Cheers

Yeah it's definitely a unique shape, but if you like the e30 the shape should grow on you. I hated it for months after I bought it, the more I looked at it the more I grew to appreciate the lines. It was designed in the Karmann factory for Porsche, they didn't like the design so VW made it. There's 10 NZ new Corrados left on the road in NZ so not very many, they were $65k when new in 1990 so didn't sell because of the high price. The rear spoiler comes up at 120km/h automatically and also has a switch on the dash to show off with - automatic rear spoiler = very porsche. It's basically the same running gear as a golf mk2 gti 16v - 1800cc DOHC 16v motor with 5 speed manual, really rev happy and good power, definitely wouldn't call it fast though. Unfortunately the few NZ corrados weren't available in g60 (supercharged) or 2.8 VR6. It's the handling feel that's incredible in them, sticks to the road like sh*t to a blanket. You can see similar lines in the mk1 scirocco (hence why I bought one of those as a project too, the cars just look good next to eachother). Pic below is a UK car:

New coilovers which I don't like so have ordered some different ones. Smoothed front bumper, removed side strips, FK badgeless grille, stubby antenna, Lupo GTI wipers. Yeah but they have to be desirable enough to command freight cost from NZ. 001s are available enough for people not to bother. Nah I refurbed them, they're now 16x8.5 with metallic gun metal centres, getting 195/45s tomorrow.

I am selling some incredibly rare wheels: 16x7" BBS RS003 4x100 et25 Fully refurbed in Vivica Silver Metallic Powder coated barrels Powder coated centres Polished nuts and bolts Polished 1" lips Polished full height centre nuts These took me 3 years to find and there has only been one or two sets pop up globally recently (including another set in NZ). They have been run for about 5 months on my Corrado however I have just split them and had the lips repolished to mirror finish so they are impeccable. Centre caps have also just been repolished to mirror finish. The only thing that lets them down is the bolts which have oxidized slightly as they were polished and left without a coating, then run for 5 months. You could repolish them, chrome them or put new bolts in. Or if you want the wheels to only look 95% just run them as is. If you want RS, and you want 4x100 in 16" this may be your only shot in a wee while. Only whacking them up in NZ on the off chance that someone wants them, $2500 or $3200 with a pair of 1.5" polished lips to stagger the rears to 7.5". Price is non negotiable, listing on VWVortex and/or ebay this week. I would love to see someone take the plunge and roll them in NZ. F*CK THE FAKE RS EPIDEMIC AND GET THE REAL DEAL. Much love.

Currently rebuilding to immaculate show standard, nearly finished. RS033 15x8.5 et 8 front 15x9.0 et 2 rear Doesn't get any more perfect (fitment) for an e30. If you run these, you're king of the streets. Brand new mirror polished lips, polished full height hex caps, new BBS emblems. Not sure if i'll polish or powder coat the centres yet - no pics yet as they're not finished. Gauging interest at this stage, if anyone is genuinely interested I can look into refinishing them to spec. Should be sealed up in the next two - three weeks. $2900 no tyres. Also redoing a set of 16x7 4x100 et25 BBS RS will be up for sale soon cheaper than these 15s.
