any photos of them on? id love to see how deep dish wheels look on an e30

think of the spare money thou!

damn right, even with my 17s im paranoid about hitting any bump in the road. Theres also nothing worse than seeing a mint car with a buckled mag.

wouldnt it be better to rebuild the engine with stronger forged 318 size internals etc and then turbo it? then at least you have 1800cc and a blower.I read about a aussie turbo 318 making as much power at the wheels as an m3, the reduced weight would be great and the only other thing youd need to do is upgrade the brakes with some huge puppies and a new suspension. Also all the saved money could come in handy.

i dont, id love to know the specs and how it all was done?

if it was a turbo tx3 it would absolutely blow the beemer off the road in speed and handling, otherwise the bmw would catch up with top end speed.

okay, thats cool, i was expecting little things like that anyway, but are the cars all the same size?like length width?etc im sort of planning what i can do in the next few years now, so of cource i'd get bigger brakes and better shocks and suspension before doing any engine swaps.

so am i right in guessing you can put any e30 model engine in any e30? or are there differences in length of the car due to model? eg are 320's bigger than say 316's?? do gearboxes differ in strength or more importantly fit? i read something in the e36 model the 328i is the same length as the m3 and that these two models are longer than the rest, is this true?

by 70ks in 4th at 2k, i was meaning that it revs normally, just doesnt go high, at all and after my old car its a fair difference, ive never driven a 4 cylinder that rev'd so low and just wanted to know if it was normal.

where did you soure the recaros from? also, did you get them with steat mounts?or build your own?
-
my 316 comes without a tacho (has a clock in its place) so the old owner put a cheap one in, the car goes fine, but it doesnt really rev...at all, according to the tacho. currently i can do 70ks in 4th at 2 grand, but the car really doesnt like to rev, it only comfortably goes to 4. is the setting wrong?or do 316's just not rev?

ahh heres some shiz ive done recently, took the wing off , got holes sealded by a panelbeater etc, am going to prep the car for paint myself in the next couple of months.
-
really? i always thought the code eg 316 ment the series and size of the engine?
-
yer, it is 5 speed, the clutch was redone 10,000 ks ago and being a 1600 its really just a cruiser, which is perfect for me. I actually have no idea what type the wing is, but plan to take it off in a year or two when pain and panel work is done.

Im new to the forums, so thought id post up a pic of my car. Its a recent purchase and i got it with the 17" TSWs and King Springs, it used to belong to a BMW mechanic, so the engine is perfect. So far ive only put a head unit and some speakers in, but have plenty of plans for it.
