  1. What gearbox do you have? There are two different automatic gearboxs for the e30 325i, the normal one, and the one with sport mode. If you have a normal gearbox, that most other gearboxs will fit. But if you have the gearbox with sport mode ( they are a stronger box ) then you will need to get another box that had sport mode, or sport mode wont work anymore. The gearboxs with sport mode had there own gearbox ECU as well. Also, if you get one that has sport mode, and your original one didnt, then you will be stuck in limp mode.

I have a Automatic gearbox out of my 325i which has sport mode, which you can have for $150 but you will need to pick it up before friday if you do want it ( going overseas )

So yea, pays to find out what gearbox you have before you go buying the wrong one.

    Good luck,

    Mark

pretty sure mines just a normal 1, and my cars a 320i not a 325i, duno if they are the same or different

  2. I'm not new, just haven't posted in over a year due to slackness mainly.

Probably a lot of new members by now so hi everyone.

Car's back on the road after several extended periods off the road getting stuff done so happy to be back behind the wheel.

welcome back! got any pics of car?

  3. do you get wheel studs with any of those wheels? looks like the mesh wheels will need a special 'thin head' or tuner style stud.

also you will probably need a 4x100 wheel rather than multi fit as the heads of the studs will probably stick out past the edge of the spacer. You may also have to chop the heads of your studs in half to accomodate a multi fit wheel.

just a few words of warning, I have come across this problem before.

    cheers

If you are going to run bolt on adaptors and get your car certed what about these?

naaah dont like them sorry, thanks for the feedback got alot to think about before jumping into things!

  4. Go with the first option....the 2nd option will cost you more with the nuts...I was charged over $8 each per nut which ended up nearly $200 alone in nuts...go with the first option!

whays that? did you have the replace all the nuts? the price for the 2nd option is half the price of the 1st option!

  5. if you use a 20mm spacer any of these wheel will tuck under the guards even when dropped 60mm.if the rims 7.5 you might need to roll the rear guards.just remember the cops are out to get anyone at the moment so get it certed for spacers.had a customer in yesterday that was pulled over because he was low,car was certed but cop green sticker him anyway cos he had 18''mags on car not 15'' standards like cert said, cop wanted letter from tyre shop to say wheels were ok for that model.what a knob..

yeer il get everything done legally, cant b bothered running into problems i dont need!

    cheers for the feedback
