Andrew You said that you are sending your car to B.Homeward. Where are they based in Auckland? Can he tune and problem solve as well. The reason I ask as I have found some Dyno tuners but aren't that clued up in tracking any problems if lacking in horse power.

Is it really a good buy??? when you consider our dollar is about 93 cents in the $ plus shippng to NZ, I'm sure that you wouldn't get much change out of $45k NZ.

gmccormack is correct on this.... it's got nothing to do with BMW. Everson's was a workshop in Mt Roskill AKL which did car repairs and did alot of performance/ hot rod mod's for the market and they built 3 cars called the EMW, which was built from a space frame and made of Aluminum body along with the high performance V8. This company which I understand is no longer around was a highly respected within the Hot Rod Industry for workmanship.

for me excluding the cost of the car $26,000 to date and I have just spent a further $700.00 US on Evo plug leads, Sparco Strut Brace and all of the heater & Rad hoses.

Back in 2001 Keven had 2 M3's for sale one was the EVO3 in Black going for 50k with 55km on the clock and the other was a M3 with a twin cam 6 mated to a 6 speed box for around mid thirtys. I was trying to see if the one in Classic Cars is the one from CHC which everyone talks about. It could be safe to say that there could be 2 EVOIII 's in NZ.

Guy's if you go to www.s14.net and do a search on the m3 rally cars there loads of info and photo's of the cars in action. Further more there's a whole photo session on the M3 DTM cars and as to how they were built. And you don't have to register.

Cage Do you mean wide bodies, being M3's or are you talking aftermarket body parts on E30's, living on the North Shore.

If you can se him he's open 7 days, his name is Jason, and if can get a template all the better to speed things up. As for the rear Brace, all we need is the dimenssions of the shock studs and the length between the two . The other option he has is where the brace mounts onto the top of the shock which is a waste of time, e30's need it on the shock bolts to get any effect. Tell him that you were speaking to me as he has my Bus, card along with the cardboard templateof the stud pattern and photo's of a Sparco brace on a M3. Wayne.

Gus Check this guy out,, he's at 109 CookSt CBD and imports strut braces for Jappa's but has blanks that we are able to use and drill to suit. I have given him a photo and a template of the holes around the strut for the E30, but he would prefer to see the car. As for the brace he claims that he will be able to get one made by the end of thr month but I'm a little concerned as they are made of alloy tubing.... I can understand if it's straight, but if it has bends... how strong would it be? They are all adjustable as well, allowing up to 5mm each side. If we were able to get one made to suit, maybe he would look at a group deal!!!!!! Also he has rear ones as well, but need to get the car in to measure shock to shock. Retail for a front one $141.00, with a number of colours.

I checked this car out today and it's an import from Japan, done 150.k and it's NOT a EVO and can't get Reg until 2008, and he's keeping it for his private collection. However it has a H pattern shifter and the G/Nob isn't a M3 type... where it should be a dogleg. EVO3 rear spoiler but the front has Fog lights and no front lip to match the rear. It's painted up to look as a EVO3 from a distance only. :thumbsdown: He's using the dealer plate so he can get around until 2008.

I checked out Trademe ... nothing there, and before 07 would be better!! There is a few around, but I think they are in too good of condition for what I want .

Yeah I do, and I just got the car back from getting the all of the leather re done at a cost of $700.00. But I want one that can be given a hard time . I'm trying to find the one that GVI (Penrose) had for sale which he used on the track so he could get use to the Left Hand drive car ,as his rally car is LHD, he felt the M3 was cheaper to run/repair than his rally car.

If any of you guy's know of a M3 for Sale in the N/Island can you let me know. I'm looking for a tin top, and not the convert... in Parnell which has been around for around 4 months.

What was the price in the end for the group buy of braided brake lines for the E30 front and rear?

In this months mag NZ Speedsport has a 1987 M3 4 sale, claiming being in storeage for 6 plus years, now a daily driver, well serviced for only $48k. Here's your chance Bimmers people to get a classic in the club. :bounce:

If you check out www.racecarsdirect.com you will see some Factory built M3's for sale. Last week there was one 4 sale without motor and box, which came fully set up. Mike Delmont has got his 320i Group 5 for sale in this as well, I think it was going for about $400.000 NZ if you want to invest into a car.

I followed this up and appears that it's NOT a EVO but a Schnitzer, it's ex England, in Silver, and based in Tauranga, he's the only owner in NZ, and brought it off a guy who worked for BMW in England and still in LHD... and purely testing the market .
