Totally awesome! Love the look! More pics or ban!
-
Just go with BMWill then?

Your name is gonna be outdated soon as well! Youre gonna have to change to TeamBMW or something..
-
Careful? When good numbers sell magazines? heheh I bet they didnt drop the clutch, but didnt baby it either..

Oh yeah, speaking of 180k km's... Got any pics and info on how much youre paying? Most wear and tear items should get a look over by now, as they should have been replaced or will need replacement soon - Shock mounts, ball joints, shocks. If its an Auto tranny, it may be nearing the end of its life. Also check subframe to make sure everything is cool with the body. Whatever you do, dont rush it. Have a look around autopoint.co.nz to get a feel for prices..

Be cheaper to fab something for yourself, otherwise US has kits for 6K US or so.. aatuning.com
-
Most of them are listed in my link, and the FAQ section of the forum here.. http://bimmer.roadfly.com/bmw/forums/e36/f...=4438155&page=1 Either way, common issues.. Waterpump Radiator Neck Thermostat Shock Mounts Vanos Rattle (normal) E36's main thing to think about would have to be 'Anything to do with coolant'. Also try other sites for info, using the search function. Bimmerforums.com is rather good too. Basically just get anything you buy checked out by someone that knows BMW's as all e36's have the same problems (reliability in problems is kinda weird).

In reality, they never pull you over when youre innocent. Its more like you get dissapointed that you didnt get away with it this time..

I been going to bp for 98 lately, and my car has been starting kinda funky... It had a rumbly idle for a min or two this morning..very weird.

He has 5 posts? Would we know him?

Hey, welcome. This might be good for you: http://www.unofficialbmw.com/e36/buying/e3...yers_guide.html Oh yeah, and kids, dont do chrome. Good luck!

So, whats good? Good places to go? Visor vs no visor? Airbags bad for wearing helmet? I figure if i need one for pukekohe, and i intend to stick with bimmers, i might as well get one. Anyone got a clue?
-
well this install looks rather tidy... oem bracket under sports seat..

Did some more research.. Seemingly powder extinguishers do more damage to the car, as they corrode metal and wiring. Halon would apparently be best.. Also for the E36's... http://www.unofficialbmw.com/all/interior/...tinguisher.html http://www.gloria.co.uk/products/P1GMP2GM.htm Edit: hahah "Under the Ozone Layer Protection Act 1996, it is illegal to use or maintain Halon extinguishers. More information can be found here." http://www.fire.org.nz/home_kids/tips/extinguishers.htm Even law promotes fires. Awesome

130i will be so totally awesome. Perhaps more awesome than the 3 series.
-
Awesome writeup, thanks for finding it

215/40/17's should def not be rubbing on an e36 unless its terribly low...
-
hahahah I cant even get up to 210 on the straight. Give me slushie power! Someone needed to take photos on that day. Official bimmersport photographer next time.
-
Hey they look nice! So its gonna be ready for the coast to coast then eh? Your car will pwn the e30's! (MAYBE the e36's too haha)
-
Yeah fronts will be your biggest worry - Do you really want to go that big? It will def affect your handling, and give you gried on our 'high quality roads'. Dont want to see one of those 'I bent my rims' threads.. Oh yeah plz say they aint chrome. Spinners even.
