Hey, I have an e30 and the INSPECTION light on the dash has just come on. Does this mean that my car is due for an inspection or does it mean that something is wrong and it needs inspecting? I still have 4 green lights on the SI board. Do these just count down for when it needs an oil service? Thanks very much Dean

Hey, Nice mini! I'm with state. They were by far the cheapest when I was looking. I have full insurance plus roadside resuce for less than $300 a year. AMI wanted over $1000 and Tower wanted around $1800 p.a.. I'm under 25, have an e30 and have no speeding tickets or convictions. Dean

Jared, i sympathise with your situation and if you had have kept me informed I would not have had to make this post. The fact is, last time I recieved an email from you was 3 weeks ago saying you were sending it the next day. Any emails I have sent since then have not been replied to. I simple explanation of the problem would have prevented this. I would appreciate my money back and if I recieve the blank within one week i will happily put the money back into your account. Hi everyone, Some where along the way I lost the fog light blank cover on my e30. I got onto trade me to find another one and asked a question on the BMW parts guys (with over 100 positive feedbacks) auction if he had one. He said yes and that I could have it for $30 incl postage. I thought this was pretty good so I agreed and deposited the money into his account right away. This was on the 21st of january. Two weeks later I still hadnt recieved anything so I emailed him and he didn't email back. A couple of days later and I emailed him again. This time he emailed back saying he would send it the next day and that he was busy. 3 weeks after this and I still have not receieved anything. i have emailed him at least 3 more times and no replys. I noticed that since I bought the fog light blank cover two feedbacks have popped up for him which have been negative as they have not recieved anything yet. He was still posting new auctions last week so I don't think anything too bad could have happened to him yet I am suprised as his feedback before was good. What should I do? I think I have been very patient and polite to him so far but am now fed up and just want my money back or the product. Any advice?? Dean

CAR NOW FOR SALE ON TRADE ME End of an era. Please see next two pages for more details. Hi guys and girls, I've had my car since September and been a member since October. I've always been a huge fan of e30's and finally had a chance to buy one last year. i'm a fan of the standard look and although I would have much prefered an m325i I'm only a poor student and had to settle for a 1988 320i (facelift). Although its nothing flash, it is in excellent condition. The colour is Mineralblau and it is the only one this colour I have seen in NZ others may have seen more this colour? it has only done 120k's and is mechanically very good, has been reguarly serviced and has just had the cambelt done. Cosmetically it is very good as well. No dents and only a couple of very small scratches that you would expect on a 20yr old paint job. i am waiting on a new fog light cover that is expected to arrive soon as the other one has come off. the previous owner put a spoiler on and colour coded the bumpers as well as replacing all the badges with new ones, including the centre caps. The interior is as new. No cracks in the dash or rips in the seats. And still nice and shiny. One thing I would like is a Tech-1 steering wheel to go in it, i'm not a fan of the four spokes.

Never, i'd feel horrible if i hit and killed someone while texting. I'd rather just minimise the risk of that happening and be safe rather than sorry

Hey guys and girls, I have an e30 without fog lights (factory). Instead it has a blanking cover over each of the holes where the fog lights go if fitted. I just noticed today that one of them is missing (I hadn't heard it fall off while driving or anything?). Would the best option be to buy a new blanking cover off trade me and get it painted and fitted? Does anyone know where to get BMW paint in Wellington? The car is Mineral Blue which is a really rare colour so i don't think i would be able to find a cover in that colour (iv'e never even seen an e30 the same colour in NZ). Also has anyone had experience re-fitting these covers and are the easy to put in?? The other option would be to take the other one off and just have two holes. I don't really want to do this though because the car is in excellent condition. I don't really want to bother fitting fog lights in the spaces and I don't have the $$. Thanks in advance Dean

Has anyone had to replace the plastic membrane behind the door cards on their e30 (or other BMW)? What material did you use and how did you do it? Thanks very much Dean

Just checked behind that mold and there was no rust hole. i took out evey clip apart from the bottom one because I couldn't work out how??? Thanks heaps for teh suggestion though. If you let me know how to unclip the bottom part i'll try again to double check there isn't a tiny hole at the bottom From the results of my attempted water test, I think the water may be coming in where the top of the front and rear doors meet and then running down behind that panel and entering. Where abouts was the trim that you had to use the silicon on?? (minor leak at the top around the trimming, (black silicon fixed this)) Thanks

Hi Everyone I have water leaking into the left rear footwell of my e30 (4 door) when it rains. There is a photo attached and you can see there is a small trail of water leading from the bottom of the plastic piece that the front seat belts come out of, into a small puddle. I think it may be coming through the rubber door seal. Has anyone else had this problem? I did get someone to pour water on the door while I was inside the car to see if i could spot where it was cominf through and I peeled back the door card a little but i could not tell for sure. Hey guys, Whats the easiest way to just lift the carpet a little bit in the drivers footwell? (e30) The water leak should be fixed now and I just want to make sure the foam under the carpet is all dried out but don't want to spend all day unbolting everything as I have no space whatsoever to do it (in a wellington apartment with no off street parking)!
