E28 Master of diguises

Much appreciated mate i really appreciate it ay i really needed that bit of information, But what damage could i do if i done that(ie driving it around) i do say that it ran good for the first couple of weeks then this happened out of the blue and i just just thought that it was nothing to worry about but i guess I'm wrong.

hi there people's i need to clear the air abit and find out any information on how to diagnose a problem i have with my alternator ? what actions do i need to know if i have to replace the alternator? i done one thing my uncle said to me was to take the negative terminal(black terminal) off the battery, if it ran like normal then i don't need to replace or if it died then that means that i have to replace. would this be true what i said above ? could anyone help me out or point me in the correct direction that would be much appreciated

i would like to get a fibre glass M Tech I bodykit for a 1982 BMW 520i ( E28)how much are you willing to do one for me if you could produce one for my car

Hey there Brent i was just wanting some information about the fibre glass body kit you could produce for a E28 now i would like to know if i would retain the chrome detailing on the car as it would give it that character and styling that is my opinion and I'm not too sure of other people's opinion's are. how much would it set me back and would you do a lay buy option?

hi there ppl i have come up with a colour that i think that would be a nice colour a metallic steel blue with a purple hue pearl . what are other peoples thoughts about the colour ? im thinking of the thoughts that users came up with by not going to any dark colours but keeping it light and giving the style lines of a old skool BMW

iwas justing other's opinions or choices they would paint it if it was there E28sorry if i concealed any confusion to this post

what is wrong with the colour it shows signs of oxidation to the roof and boot and also the clear coat is fading on certain panels

Hi there need of help here we've (myself and my partner) have acquired a 1982 BMW 520i with problems with the instrument cluster acting very funny and playing games. the previous owner said that speedo wasn't working so hence the reason it had no WOF he also mentioned that it was the speedo cable needed replacing but an answer from a BMW enthusiast from Auckland said that it didn't run by cable it was to do with electric side of it being the battery, me and a mate also done a bit researching into the problem which we also saw the remedy on a UK website on the procedure of replacing the rechargeable battery etc. what i need to know of, is there anyone in here that is from Auckland that could help me out with any information or better still that has a instrument cluster lying around collecting dust that they could sell. that would be much appreciated

Hi there myself and my partner are new to this forum site We've just acquired a 1982 BMW 520i E28, we're both very happy, but there are a few minor things that we need to do to get looking good ie we need to get and install a brand new instrument cluster as i diagnosed that the instrument's weren't doing there job. that means that i don't have a speedometer,the fuel gauge is inaccurate,the warning lights play stupid games and the needles for the water temp are also inaccurate. these are the things that are stopping me from getting a WOF so if there is anyone out with the knowledge please pm me. the first thing we done to it was put on a set of 16" BMW factory rims for a later model E34 wrapped in 205/55R16 tyre's. so we're one thing at a time but i'll update once i do other things to our car i have posted two photo's below the first photo is when we brought it and the second one is when we purchased the rims and had them fitted
