  1. Anyone is welcome to come out we usually have a great range of interesting vehicles. Anyone is welcome just to come out and watch if they want to. Its all run under MANZ rules, we have been doing this for many years and our club is fully affiliated. You will need to complete the indemnity form attached to the first post. Entry is at the discretion of the main co-ordinator basically we dont want lots of "hoons" cars with cut spring etc. Our club is full of enthusists and most like myself often have several cars mostly of European manufacture. This is one of the few opportunities we get now to access this facility at Ruapuna for road registered vehicles without having to be fully race legal. Drive at your own pace or with an experienced co pilot if you choose there are a few available for this purpose.

If you are interested in coming out the entry form and details are on the attached word doc. Its all fairly laid back, but we dont tolerate bad or dangerous behavior for the protection of all cars and drivers. $50 if paid in advance (direct credit) or turn up on the day $70. :-) 2012_CFLC_Track_Day_Entry.doc

  6. Hi all, I have a 1993 E36 318i (M40 engine) sedan and the auto has the frictions coming off in reverse and a recurring oil pressure problem so i have purchased a later gearbox from a 1995 318Ti (184is engine i was told??) I want to know if these are interchangable ie not different gear ratios internally that might upset the trans ecu? Im pretty sure they will swap over physically bell housing etc and starter should be the same. The box in the car is GM 96017, 006 the box from the TI is GM 96017, 632 Anyone done this sort of swap before ??? Cheers
  7. Any offers for the engine and gearbox etc??? Due to not having many realistic offers for the complete car the owner is now willing to sell of major parts such as the engine and trans. . . . . . . same deal applies only realistic offers cheers
  8. Ivew seen a e36 325i Auto coupe that has racing Dynamics kit on it. Its Ex Japan so to me that could mean just a body kit but perhaps it has the engine mods etc? Appparently it goes really well and the owner thinks it shifts harder than normal under power??? Bits it has that i can see: Wheels All badges and big chrome bootlid "Racing Dynamics" wording Rear spoiler Side skirts Rear skirt Frint airdam i think was damaged and possibly removed? Exhaust rear muffler (ot sure about the rest. Did they badge these cars like a serial number or is it just a lot of accessories to make it look pretty. Not much detail on the Racing Dynamics web site but they mention lots of upgrades for the 325i engine including crank rods pistons etc to up it to 2.8L??
  9. All the details are in the first post and pics about half way down page 1. Cheers
  10. The M3 is still up for grabs! The owner is willing to split running gear but it is well worth repairing. Must be somone keen to own an M3 with some work would be a really nice car again. Front bumper is with the car and has been professionaly repaired and ready to paint.
  11. Has anyone been to look at the car? Would be interested to do somthing with it shame to see it just rotting away especially a manual car. Cheers
  12. Hi are you open to offers on the complete car? .I Would be keen at the right price. Cheers
  13. The M3 is still for sale its half the price of the 2001 that sold on tradme recently for $28k! This one is not as badly damaged either! Cheers Pm me if your a genuine buyer for the complete car at this stage.
  14. Glad you enjoyed the day out! Your car went well and attracted alot of interest. It seemed a bit twitchy in the rear under acceleration but i guess once you upgrade the suspension it should iron that out. You have a great car there and i and a few others were impressed with the workmanship you have put into it. We always have a big variety of cars although this event the numbers were a bit down on normal days but still plenty out there having a great time. There are alot of novice drivers including the Lambo owner you mentioned (i just spent 12 months rebuliding the V12 engine in that car and its alot of car to be throwing about the tight corners on the track as its really is a touring car and is 34 years old!) We have these days to allow our club members and other enthusiasts to have a drive around on the track that they normally couldnt acheive on there own. (track hire for one day of the weekend is $3500!) We have been running these events for at least 15 years that i have been involved without to many incidents and most leave with a smile on there face at the end of the day! Thanks for your support and I hope to see you there next year!
  15. The car is in Bromley... If anyone is a "Genuine" prospective buyer please Pm me and ill give you the contact details. The seller has had a few time waisters already so im trying to help him out as hes a good mate of mine and has a busy workload. We recon it should be fixed but if its not sold sooner or later someone will want the engine or trans and it will be parted out. It would be a shame to see that happen as it would be a great project. Dont forget the price includes the extra body shell with suspension and body parts to fix this car. (this can be stripped down to basic parts and shipped for a bit less cost if required) Cheers
  16. Some pics of the beast the colour is "Techno violet metallic"! Price is confirmed at $13K or $12k + gst. Cheers
  17. I have edited the original post with some more detail. The car is located in Christchurch. Cheers
