  1. I'm afraid someone else will have to arrange this meet as I'm not the best at the moment. I have my good times and I have my bad ones as well and I've slipped back into a bad time.

BTW. The BMWCC have changed the day of their meet to Waitangi day, so if we are going to have a meet, then Anniversary Day would be better.

1Rotty, are you back in NZ yet?

  2. We did a drive out to I think it was KawaKawa bay few years ago. Brian looked right at home at this pub we found, had a mint fish n chips store next door too and massive car park. =D

Due to previous incidents, there will not be a cruise, sorry.

However I'm all for meeting up somewhere and perhaps have a BBQ.

Places like Cornwall Park are out of the question. As previously said, there are too many people around and the BBQ's are crap there anyway.

Personally I think Central Auckland area is the best so people don't have to drive too far, but is there a nice park with plenty of parking and hopefully decent barbies that any one knows?

  3. Hi guys, I'm back.

It's been a few months since I've been on the forum, at 66 years of age I'm starting to show my age, but I have been rather ill and ended up in Middlemore for a while. Then we moved out of our house so that it can be redecorated and sold, and there was quite a gap between leaving the house in early Nov till we moved into our current place late last year, so I was without an internet connection for a long time.

Anyway, everythings sorted now and I will be back on the forum on a regular basis in future.

Seems like we have quite a few new members? Must organise a get together so that get to know each other.

  4. My partner has to move to Hamilton as she has been made Regional Manager of the North Island area south of the Bombays. Now neither of us know Hamilton at all, and, as we will have to rent a house there, I am keen to know which suburbs to avoid and at the same time, what are the better suburbs. We are looking to rent a 3 bedroom single story house with a double garage and are prepared to pay up to $400.00 per week.

What can I expect for that sort of money in a reasonable area?

  5. I am importing a 1963 MkII 3.8 Jaguar which has been rebuilt by Beachams of Hastings.

The car would have cost in excess of $100,000 when first purchased from Beachams, but I'm asking $35,000 firm.

Beacham Jags are completely rebuilt from the ground up and are far better than a new one. This car has Power steering and Air conditioning.

If anyone, or any associates are interested, then PM me please.

  6. The car was first registered in NZ in 2003 however it turned out to be a 9th month 2002 build, therefore only a 5 speed. The SMG was buggered. After contacting a technician from Team McMillen I found out that the car had been there on several occasions re transmission and short of replacing the lot, it hadn't been able to be repaired, so I walked away from it.

  7. I can testify that this is a very clean coupe indeed, and would of thought 10-12k would own it as it's a $25k plus build.

Brian just keep it if you don't realise the money for it and buy the E46 as well, come on you can do it.

It's a 330ci //M coupe, NZ new, 2 owners , SMG trans and of course in black.
