  1. Looks pretty good for the price? http://www.trademe.co.nz/840057658
  2. Removed it myself, and it is all genuine BMW parts. It was an available option on late E34's - not sure of the exact years but was from a 93 540is. It is listed in my 1994 E34 Electrical trouble shooting guide as an option.... and I have seen it on 2 E34's, but it is a rare thing to see...
  3. Factory PDC (park distance control) unit ,sensors, loom and bumper trims from a 93 E34 540i http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/bmw/accessories/auction-814033050.htm
  4. Advertised on Trade Me - $1 reserve - I need to free up some space... also have an E34 Dual Air-bag Dash and Electric adjustable steering column if anyone is keen let me know..... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=733925430 Check my other trade me listings - clearing out the E34 collection.
  5. Some room, but the Driveway will still be a little crowded - stil have 2 E34 parts cars and an E34 535i that was too good to wreck but not good enough for me to keep... but if some of them go, the neighbours will be happy that the crazy BMW guy has got rid of some of the cars that fill the street The Integra sounds like a sweet ride but only if it has VTEC
  6. They usually end up on here, so I thought I would post them first http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-721298577.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-721307834.htm http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-693229260.htm 1, 2, 3, Discuss.....
  7. Cheap in comparison to this E34... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=719944061
  8. Thanks, and they actually look much better than the photos!
  9. Thanks. I do think they have added a certain something to the car
  10. Bought another full set of wheels that I came across while looking for a centre - can't justify/afford two sets.... so selling one.
  11. Just put these up on Trade Me if any one is interested..... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=702460489 Changed to one wheel only now - no longer a set for sale.
  12. Lucky they weren't staggered, I was all out at $750 no matter what they were
  13. Yup, that was me, and they are the reason I need a cover. They turned out to be a pretty good set of Forged wheels, but getting a cover is not turning out to be that easy..
  14. Hi All, I'm after an E34 M5 M-System II "Throwing Star" Wheel Centre Cover - only need 1 (Left Hand) but will buy a set if need be. Thanks.
  15. For a measly 2K more you could own this gem.... http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=693427399

  17. It has nothing to do with the badge, or opinions - they are in fact a model, albeit a model determined by the options they were ordered with, a 6 Speed Manual, M5 Body Kit, MTech Suspension, Sports Seats and Sports Steering Wheel - the model was called a 540IS...12 of these cars were sold new in NZ, and the cars were registered, by BMW NZ, from new as a 540IS – Whatever you think, It's a fact, and opinions don't change facts.
  18. It is closer, but if you read the description of the 540i/6, the car has the wrong body kit for a 540IS, and has had two replacement wings as the originals had started to corrode and the boot lid has also been replaced with a non-rotten one. By comparison, and I have seen and driven the Technoviolet 540i,it is an immaculate car, owned by someone who paid to have the rocker boxes replaced with new items from Germany, because the usually cracked paint on the old ones, made the car look untidy under the hood! That level of commitment to these cars is seldom found and because of it I really doubt you could compare the two. I think you would be hard pushed to source a better E34 540IS anywhere, except maybe Ross's Avus Blue one that is for sale at the moment, but I cannot really comment on that, as I havent seen or driven that one.
  19. I would be inclined to think, BMW NZ, would not have been allowed to give a Model designation without BMW AG's approval at some level.
  20. “Sadly that is representative of supply and demand in NZ”? No, I think this is an example of something different than that….you are comparing 2 totally different cars – A NZ new 540, E34 manual vs a potentially rusty, UK import, 540 E39 Auto? Apart from both being BMW’s, the differences between these 2 cars are so great; any form of comparison you are trying to make is irrelevant. As an example…If you went to the supermarket specifically to buy Apples, but when you got there, you though “I’m not buying Apples, because they are asking Banana money….. “ Maybe you didn’t really want Apples, and you really just wanted fruit……maybe you are the kind of monkey who thinks one piece of fruit is the same as the next....or maybe you actually just wanted food, and it doesn’t really matter if it’s fruit…. Anything, no matter what it is, is worth the same..It's worth what someone will pay and if you really want an Apple, sometimes you have to pay Banana money.
  21. BMW NZ called these cars a 540IS, and they took the time to register them from new, as a 540IS (Well, a 540IS 6SPD SEDAN to be exact). People who own them now, tend to refer to them as a 540IS, which is their cars designated model, and a fairly standard practice. So in your scenario, is it BMW New Zealand who are the "big noters in fancy pants" or are the current owners the “big noters in fancy pants” to which you refer?
