i work at repco and i can tell you silverline brake pads are dangerous! they are good for you nannas toyota starlet but not much else. TRW Lucas arent the best pads you can buy from repco but you do not need to bed them in, they work when cold, low dust, low noise and are a really really good pad for everyday driving. Ferodo GP pads are the same. Ferodo XL are more for performance and are kept on the shelf. then theres Ferodo Zero and Ferodo Formula that are designed for hard use but need to be ordered. we also do Bendix Lucas are repcos best pad for day to day driving but as you learnt not ideal for high speed braking

hey everyone where the hell do you get e30 wheels? wheel and tyre shops cant seem to find me any wheels that have e30 specs. ive learnt that e30s are not easy cars to wheel shop 4! any wheel im keen on is always the wrong offset, stud pattern or the wrong size. if anyone can point me in the right direction to find some wheels or can sell me some wheels i would be very greatful below is pics of the stlye of wheel im looking for and what they are going on. thanks

the turtle wax ICE wash is good and so is the orginal ICE polish. but the ICE liquid clay bar is useles. i work at repco and customers have returned it on 3 ocassions saying it flat out doesnt work. iv used it before to and i couldnt tell if it did anything at all. meguiars tech wax is the best wax ive used hands down.

ive got a 325i e30 and whenever my headlights are on and i indicate to turn right my full beam turns on by itself and turns off once my indicator clicks off. doesnt do it when i signal left tho anyone know how to remedy this??

selling four 14in ROH wheels that came off my e30. tyres are not new but in warrantable condition 195/65/14 wheels are in good condition minor curbing and a little bit of clear coating has flaked off on 2 of them. all wheels have bmw centre caps. would make a standard e30 look alot better $250. not on trademe yet

i remember a couple of years ago a bimmersport member was making and selling front strut braces for e30s. im just wondering if they are still available as they looked quite good and were reasonably priced

my heaters in my 87 325i are not working. no air comes out of them at all no matter what i do. ive only had the car a few weeks and they didnt work for the previous owner ither. cooling system is fine due to water pump being replaced 5000k ago. im not sure where to start is this a common problem for e30s?? any help will be appriecated

there sure is alot to choose from when it comes to oil these days it sorta also depends on how many k's you engines done and if it burns any oil. if your k's are high and it burns a bit of oil then your spose to use a thicker oil (25w60 or 20w50) 20w50 mineral would be the best choice due to the cars age i rekon. 15w40 mineral would be fine also. 10w30 does seem a little thin but ive heard of ppl using 5w40 and even 0w40 in older cars with good results my 2cents.

im after a silver e30 sunroof in good condition. cannot have any rust ok if paint is a little tired will pay $80 4 perfect one. thanks

what wasnt rong with the black e30 would be the shorter answer haha. where do i start? the rust was a big issue. bubbles the size of your fist on the roof and other panels. carpet was soaking wet. ive never seen a dash in that condition, i know e30s have cracks in them but this looked like someone had taking an axe to it! ive also never heard a car idle like that b4 and it is very hard not 2 stall. stand on the brakes and NOTHING happens (scary). i went over a speed bump and im positive the front wheels left the ground, altho i was going a little fast due to no brakes. o well atleast its a worked m20 so it would be fast right? WRONG! it was as slow as a turtle. the engine wasnt smooth at all. if you put your foot down the whole car would shake like crazy i have no idea y. and then there were the little things like the radiator being held on by cable ties etc etc. i was extremely dissapointed and angry that i made the trip 4 nothing. driving it was not a pleasent experience i cant get over the fact that someone would let ther car get into such a state! im not sure if its still on trademe but i wouldnt buy it 4 50c. AVOID! im not going to be able to make it to the meet in havelock 2day but i mite come along to the next meet if thats ok

thanks 4 the welcome. found the paint name on passengers side strut tower and thanks 4 clearing up the a/2 thingy. i found this one in auckland. i was originally going to buy the black 4 door e30 in the mount (the one with chromies and 2.7 rebuild o trademe) but decided not to buy it since it was the worst car i have ever driven i had no idea a car could be in such a state! AVIOD at all costs. i found mine on trademe and since i was already up north i drove anotha couple of hours 2 aucks and bought it. how many members do we have in the bay??

hi everyone ive just joined up a couple of weeks ago and thought i would introduce myself and my e30. the names matt i reside in napier and i recently purchased a 87 325i. im actuly no stranger to bimmersport as a few years ago i had an 85 323i and i used this site to learn alot about bmw's especially e30s. since my 323i treated me so well i decided to leave the jap cars alone and return to good ol e30s! ive taken a few snaps of my ride. she sports a full zender bodykit, 14in basketweaves lowered suspension (not sure what brand of spring, they are red??) lsd and some sort of quick shift kit. could anyone tell me the name of paint colour? and also my rego says 1987 325ia/2 what does the a/2 mean? im looking forward to using this site to help me out when i break things on my e30 haha thanks in advance for all the advice i will recieve matt
