  1. if anyone can help with locating a donut for the driveshaft and a suspension arm for the front end that would be great. more pics next weekend. These only show bits in primer but have done the top coats as well. these last photos only done with my phone as the camera died, will get some decent shots during the week. all in black gloss, so it is going to be a very very black car which i know has its own issues, but it looks great. will keep posting as i go on. i am having all the suspension and subframe parts blasted, then powder coated in primer, then 2 coats black, then another 2 coats of 2pot gloss black paint.
  2. bit of an update, realised the rear shocks are also bilstien, not koni, and have 250lb springs on back and 300lb on front with sports pack dampeners, does this sound right??? also have put the seats in, i know i should have waited, but i just wanted to see them in, and have painted the mounts and the box and diff. have bolted in the front struts just to see what they look like and will put the other bits on next weekend, along with the whole back end assembly going in. then the wheels can go on just to get an idea of the look so far. new pics...
  3. got the new suspension all ready to go back in. konis for rear, bilstein for front, cant wait to see them on.
  4. Hi all, looking for a replacement donut for the driveshaft, tried The Mount Shop but they said this is an odd one, seems thicker than others, 100mm between centres and 45mm deep thanks mike
  5. Can anyone help with a new or good condition steering arm, as you can see by the pic i have the new one for one side but not the other, part number is 11039812 i think
  6. Hey everyone, we have finished the engine bay and inside the car and part of the boot, so we can put all the running ghear back in and check seats etc. The panelbeater is off for a month and then he will finiash off outside and we can get that painted. Hoping to put the engine and box back in within a couple of weeks. All of the suspension will go back under as well. will post more soon. pics came out bad so i took this small movie and uploaded so check it out.
  7. also having a lot of stuff powder coated and man it comes up looking great, here is the subframes and bell housing
  8. Hi everyone, it has been a while but we have been working on the car and Chris from Cage FX has finished the rollcage and we are now getting bits and pices of panelwork done so that the engine bay and inside the car and boot are all painted up ready for all the running gear vto go back in. some new photos attached
  9. Here are the pics again in a better size, hope everyone had a great xmas and new year. more coming soon
  10. Hi All, It has been a while so thought i would share the latest pics. The underneath and engine bay and boot are sorted and finished, engine has the cam and head work done so ready to go back in next week. then all suspension etc..any help or ideas would be great.. I am hoping to get it to a rolling chassis by new year, then look at getting the exhaust and bits done for fuel to make it go. Edit: Could you please resize your pictures and repost them Mike.
  11. RIGHT, have decided to run with current motor for the start as i think i can scare myself even with that one and if the pants stay clean then look at an M6 motor later on.. Recently i had the car over to Hamilton and had it sandblasted and rust coated. The panelshop has now got it back to finish off the floor and the back end where the subframe mounts go, and then the boot floor will come out and have a flat boot pan so we get a good view underneath from the arse end. I will be ready to start putting all the bits back together soon so will start getting some new pics up on a regular basis. I also started a thread to find out if i need to do anything in regards to getting the car checked over by any race officials etc?? and what i need to do myself as have never been on the track myself so will need to get license etc
  12. Bugger, for a fleeting moment i thought i had something special, but it works out to be 89 bore x 86 stroke, 3210cc. So, now will look at new motor as well. will get this motor cleaned up and going and put up for sale.
  13. not sure, will check at weekend and post
  14. i will get it checked again, just to be sure - stroke is the length of travel from tdc to bdc.
  15. Hi everyone, good news on the engine, the bore is 89 and stroke is 102, so what does that make it, must be more than 3.0 as previously thought. accoording to website comes out to 3800cc , does this sound right??? Also got my missing seat back from the panelbeater, whew...
  16. I bought these for the project car to be used on the road but as it will only be a track car am going to part with these. They have only been sitting on the car and have done only about 100m of use.. Front tyres are 225 x 40 x 18 and rear are 265 x 35 x 18 Looking for $2500 ono
  17. Hi All, Just an update on project... The panelbeater went bust so have brought the car home for a bit to sort out, had one of the brand new seats from Racepro go missing while there, totally gutted. I am going to wait a bit to sort out the motor and will get the old one going again in the meantime until i look into it a bit more. Have put a new thread in bto check what the diff is, so if anyone can help would be appreciated. getting to be a habit of asking for help, i just want it all sorted so it is ready to go. hoping to get the back end structurally sorted soon so all the suspension and frames can go back in. will post new pics soon. thanks again all..
  18. Hi Guys, Once again trying to find out what i have here... anyone know the specs and ratios etc.
  19. Thanks guys, i will talk to the engine guy today and check it out a bit more...
  20. Hi, no the vin number is different
  21. Hi everyone, The engine number is 5740412 and it has a AMC head on it... I think from looking at photos on the google that it is an M90 motor as the inlet manifold folds back over the top of the motor like a wave, sort of... Any help in telling me more would be great. thanks
