My partner is just lazy, lol I hope she doesn't read this I wouldn't have a problem with the loading and un-loading of the little one, but I'm not the one looking after him all week

Talked to the missus about gettting a manual coupe.................. She then asked if I would be happy single..... hmmmm decisions decisions
-
Hey guys, been signed up to the forums for awhile now but have only just started using it. Thought I better get some pics up of our '95 318is coupe. Its auto and quite sluggish so were upgrading to a 328 shortly. And heres a pic of the ute we just sold recently, very sad to see her go!
-
I'm after a 4 door auto.
-
Would be easier if the seat slid further forward
-
We not gunna be driving very often in heavy traffic. It will mainly be used for weekend drives and holidays so I wouldn't expect to have much trouble with the gearbox.
-
Just as well I'm after an auto then
-
Just spotted this on trademe: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-250712957.htm Looks like a 4spd auto but I rang the guy and he said its definately a 5spd??? Does anyone know if its a ZF g.box or a crap jap one? Good buy or not?
-
Ahhhh ok I see what you mean about the gearknob its pretty obvious now that someones pointed it out. I haven't come across any 328's that tick all my boxes yet. Would definately apreciate someone to check a car over before I fork over the money.
-
Thats what I was thinking....... a modified 328 surely must be better than a modified 323.
-
Why get a 323 and modify it when you could get a 328 which by the sounds of it would be a better platform to start with. I wish I could get a manual but I can't, stop teasing me!
-
Yea i really would like a manual but its just not gunna happen. I drove a 320 auto yesterday and it was miles better than our 318is, so I wouldn't bag it. A 320 would be a good car especially in manual.

Trust me I have tried to talk the missus into getting another coupe (we currently have a e36 318is coupe) but she is convinced that a coupe is too much trouble for her to get baby in and out of. If I had it my way we would be getting a coupe, they look a million times better than a sedan!
-
328 it is then. Maybe a 5 series if we have more kids
-
Im guessing a 328 would be better performance wise than a 528? I don't think we need a big sedan just yet.
-
Yea the e46 shape looks pretty nice but I didn't enjoy driving it as much as an e36. I think a 5 series is a bit big, would rather have a decent straight six in a lighter body. Thanks for your feedback though its always good to look at all the options.

Nah don't want another V8, pretty nice car though
-
I'm not bagging atenza's, theyre a great car for what they are. I just miss having a grunty rear wheel drive, my previous vehicle was an 410HP Holden V8 ute. So the atenza was a huge step backwards.

Believe me mate I have tried teaching her in an old corolla that I use to have but theres no way that she will drive a manual by herself (she will be driving it during the week). Is there a better auto bmw that I should be considering for 10grand?
-
Yep I did read about that issue on the forum. I think if I get one with low k's I should be alright.
-
Its an Mazda Atenza 2.3L VVT-i, its a pretty good wagon except its 4cylinder and front wheel drive
-
Agree with you on all points! I have driven a manual 328 as well and it was awesome. Can't compare it to an auto though. I would rather spend all of 10grand and get a really good 328, I love the msport kit as well. Hoping to get one with leather if I can.
-
Not quite what we're after, I did see this on trademe the other day. Thanks mate.
-
Sweet cheers for that info, will have a better idea of what to look for now. I would rather have the 'best thing' than the 'next best thing" if you get what I mean. Im leaning more towards the 328 but still have to drive one to see if it fits the bill, which I 'm confident it will.

I wish I could talk the missus into getting another coupe! They look a thousand times better than a sedan.
