we've have run out of room at home so it was either the E30 project or this $6000 to a bimmersport member if you promise to cherish her. Pajero
-
+1 Also ALL the wheels could go, steering included, other than that, kinda cute.

I saw this car headed north between Turangi and Taupo on Sunday, the guy had a hoody and shades on, either about what I would expect or a new owner who was ashamed.

Take it from a Seat/Seatbelt salesman, you dont want any stretch, stock cars WRC cars and V8 Supercars have the belts mounted just behind the seats and all of those classes from this year will require back mounting or the seats, the long belt is just acceptable but the mounting is dodge, legal or not. That set up is identical to the one that took Rodger Freeth. Free advice: mount your seat well (no runners) and your belts to your cage and do your belts up TIGHT.

And gone from trade me.... Shame such a salesman could only have a car that's 'a looker'

E36 ones are on TM for around $5-600 so $300 sounds fair to me, about what you're thinking?

4HP-22/H ZF Automatic, complete from an 89 318i. Still in the car but will be out in the weekend. Will leave it up here for Bimmersport members until it's out then it goes on Trademe. I don't know what its worth, might be good to convert a 3speeder to a 4 speed. Not sure if it's the same as an E36 but believe it fits early E34s? Slight pan gasket leak.

SOLD!! Thanks Sam and Tom.

I got an offer straight away (See above) but they haven't replied to messages. I'd like it gone so it doesnt rattle round in the garage and get damaged by the kids!
-
Yea wot he said.. so ive been told anyway.
-
Bump... Looks like this is still available, can freight it anywhere in NI for $33. If its still here Friday it goes on TM. Cheers guys.
-
Correct it's in wellington.
-
Yes you did, the guy who bought it blew the engine, so they gave him his money back, very good of them i thought since it was obviously abuse that killed it! Japper, with 155ks but looks pretty genuine 2 cracks in the dash and a worn drivers seat. I have nowhere to put it yet so anyone wanna buy the Audi takin up space in my Garage!

Just a Tip on the belt mounts.. you can but it's not ideal to mount them to the floor the angle is a bit too steep. Really a Cage is the smartest place. if you have no seats you dont need belts, some pedantic testings stations will make you make the seat mounts in-operable, if they do just snap bolts off in the holes. Cheers, oh and thanks for the tip on the E30s at pick-a-part!

Hi Ppl, I'm building this car into an E30 series racer, so unfortunatley the body kit has to come off see; http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=18662 I'll take $450 for it from a Bimmersport member if anyone wants it before I put it on trademe, has 2 cracks on the front spoiler, easily repaired. Only catch is will be 2 weeks before I can get it off and I'll need your old front lip in return. Cheers, Jules

Gotcha
-
other than the ECU is there any other tricks to a bit more power?
-
We'll get on well then! except I used to bump into scenery rather than other competitors!
-
Thanks that sounds like the answer! I kinda like the look of the sedan and they seem easier to find. The main reason I think the 318 is braking distance without the extra weight or am I out on this?
-
Hi Paul. will drop in tomorrow! Thanks!
-
Fun yes, ridiculously expensive also yes. 350hp in a 4m long car has it challenges.
-
Thanks guys, was angling the 318 way but finding a manual coupe seems like a bit of a chore, trying to work out if its easier to put a 318 motor into a 325 or a manual box in a 318. How many guys are running Sedans? The cameras are awesome if!!! YOU READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!

Hi guys and girls, met a few people at the speed show running in the E30 racing series and think i may have been convinced to give it a go since I sold them a few cameras and a few of you are sitting in our seats! (I work for Racetech in Wellington. My current cars are the family Pajero and a 94 Audi 80 I bought as a project but now bored with. My last road car was a 92 525, Factory BBS wheels 24v motor and 5 speed auto, loved it but alas had to make way for the Pajero (we have 5 kids!). Last competition car was a Pulsar GTiR Rally car (Group A not a converted road car) and again sorely missed. Would love to talk to anyone running in the E30 series. Cheers, Julian
