Bit of a bizarre off topic one this, Because in my youth I never listened to anybody and never took care of my teeth they are now all pretty much stuffed. Does anybody know round about what the cost of a full evacuation and set of new teeth would cost ?? , Anybody had this done ?? , I am guessing around the 3 to 5k mark or am I thinking to low. ??

See that rig although nice (I don't do Acers but that machine is spec'd well bar the HDD), will be bottleknecking like a mofo. A 5400rpm HDD is quite slow.

It has two hdd bays, I replaced the boot up bay with a 120gig ssd and moved the 750 to the second bay

Way over the top in spec for what I use if for but for 1k it was a really good deal. The place I got it from do really good deals if you want to save a buck.

Cheers for the Reply's guys, going to hold off on the bulbs for the moment , If just one was flickering then I would have presumed an on the way out bulb but both of them flickering together at the same time suggests something else going on somewhere.

Cheers for that, Have had a good look around, alot of it though is all over the place and suggests all sorts of things so is hard to narrow down the cause, May be a case of swapping things out with the help of the local wrecker until I find the problem then replace that part with new. What would the price of a new set of bulbs be anybody know off hand ??.

Have got heaps had them for 30+ years , arms chest etc, Got each one for a reason could care less what people think of them enough said.

So for the past year I have been experiencing flickering Xenons and I have not been able to track down what is causing it. It is both of them not just one so this suggests a short somewhere ??. Its also very very random , It will happen for a few days and then things could be fine for a few months then start doing it again. I don't want to start replacing expensive stuff if its not the contributing factor. I have been around all the earth points (I know of) and secured them. Checked all wiring I know of and that seems to be all ok ??. No errors showing up on a scan.

Possible loose solder joint in the lcm ?? , Any ideas anybody ??

The one I got was a twin turbo, Put it into sport mode and it has some surprising kick with it, Not that I would try anything like that with a loan car

Dropped mine off for a warrent and pick this up as my courtesy car a 2012 116I , Quite zippy and a hell of a lot flasher inside than mine, I thought it had cut out at the first set of lights I came to but its that auto shut off thing lol. Also took me a couple of sec to figure out how to start it hahahaha.

At least the dealership honored it good on them , Also a bit of free publicity out of it has not hurt either.

Yup common fault easy to repair yourself, Give it a go you have nothing to loose.

Hey guys, just got my car back fromt he panel beaters, they let the battery go flat and now I cant get any sound out of the system and it won't read the CD's. I can still get TV picture etc but no Sound fullstop

Any ideas on what it could be?

It will be going back but if its quite common just for a particular fuse to blow after the battery has been charged I may aswell try it.... my thoughts aren't that interesting so I need my radio working haha!

Hey Andrew try looking at the attached, a few posts I found on the problem suggests either the system has reset itself to zero or a dodgy potentiometer on the volume control. I would hazard a guess at the first one (make sure area is set correctly) as it was working fine when you went it.

They didn't take any panels off or anything at the shop did they as could also be they pulled a plug out ??.

So tv was dropped off yesterday arvo and took me about an hour to setup , Watched a lot of motorsports during the night and even watched a 3d movie via my ps3.

First impressions is i farkin love it, Such a nicer crisper picture. Unlike my other tv i am getting naff all glare off this one which means all the bloody curtains don't have to be closed to watch it.

To my surprise i thought mysky hd broadcast in 1080p but nope it is 1080i at 50hz , Dunno why I thought they did it in 1080p , oh never mind.

Very very nice looking tv with the one piece of glass design, very slim and hardly a bezel at all so I am very pleased with all that.

So far I would say 8/10 but time will tell I guess.

Panasonic TH-P55VT50 which is the 2012 model, Price was 3900.00 , Is being delivered this arvo so will be able to say if my choice was ok ,I took into account what you guys were talking about and then read a lot of reviews.

Thanks for the reply's guys, I am in the 3 -4k bracket , The tv is my relaxing medium I work some hard hours and this is my sit down and wind down time. We have mysky with the hd ticket and a ps3 for watching quite a large collection of br movies. Looks like a panasonic neo is probably the best way to go for me then.

Right guys I need you help because I am replacing my current tv which is a series 4 Samsung plasma 50".

There is such an array of models out nowadays with 3d and smart tv's I need some direction on what to get.

I can take or leave the whole 3d thing and with 3d there is the active and shutter glasses ??.

I also have a dedicated lappy that runs xbmc and is controlled with xbmc iphone commander app, It all works really well plus gives me all the net connectivity so don't really need the smart tv side of things because I already have it.

Thing is all these things may just come with the tv anyway so its really a matter of picture. I have always been told that plasma is always better than lcd for watching sport which is what I do watch a lot of (motorsport).

What is the best brand , What gives the best picture ??

You may be asking why ditch your current tv whats wrong with it. (nothing according to the missus), I have been looking casually when I have been in stores and feel I am not getting the picture that I really want , Its hard to explain but my blacks are more of a reddish colour.

All suggestions would be most welcome.

How are you still going with yours Glenn, I am at the 5 month mark now and still get the urge every couple of days to spark up. Some days are worse depending on stress at work and I have gone from 70kg to 81kg and believe me thats a lot for somebody whos never been over 70kg in 42 years.

Pretty proud of myself to get to this stage I don't think I could have made it if both myself and my partner gave up togeather. No real extra money floating around but it gets used up is other area's.

We both did not have any side effects from using the champix that we had read about or people had mentioned and I think taking them really did help for that first 3 months. I went from 2 x 50 gram pouches (was a roll your own man) to nothing in a week. Smoked hard out for 30 years.

Its by no means easy and a very hard addiction to overcome, I think I am over the worst of it now and actually enojoy not being a non smoker now.

+1 have had this for ages.
