I have only had two people look at this car so far! Lots of people wanting to swap etc. I guess there is no money around at the moment. Still for sale
Driving to Picton this weekend, so could deliver to the ferry if needed.

And cheaper.....Buy me
I can possibly get the car to Picton/Wellington for the North Island buyer for very little.

See link here...For sale
I don't think the car has been resprayed, the boot and front guards have been.
Thanks

Getting cheaper..

E30 325i (2.8l) open road 9.4L per 100km, with the odd full throttle burst. Town about 16L per 100kms
E39 530i open road 9.1L per 100km also with the odd full throttle burst. Town about 13L per 100kms.
Could probably do better, but fun vs economy, fun usually wins!

Surely someone on here would love to own this car.
I have enjoyed it for the last 5 years (and had very little trouble) but we have moved onto something a bit bigger a E39.
Thanks for looking...E30 325i manual

To give you an idea on price, I have just had my motorsport one done. $80 just for welding or $330 for welding and full respray.

I like the way you think Atta! Not a bad idea.
I'd prefer to sell as a whole car thanks.
Jeddy, the car is in Riccarton.

Any interest?
I will list on TM in the weekend.

Will have a new wof and reg until Dec 2010.

Hey do you have any idea of power output ?
Wouldn't really like to say but, Graeme Clyde reckon he had dynoed one of the 2.8L m20's that he had built and it was around 220bhp.
I think it has a different cam too.
One E30 mechanic I took it too said it went really well and it was quicker than his 2.7L m20 that he had built.

Firstly. Im not a dreamer. Just to clear that up.
Was the car imported from the UK and if so when did it come into New Zealand?
You say the dash is rattelly, where is it retelling, has it been pulled apart before?
Do all dash lights and pixels including OBC work?
Do you know if the body kit is factory fit of retro fit, i.e. does it mount properly, line up, all clips etc?
Don’t suppose it has a Limited slip differential?
What type of lowering springs is in the car?
Any other choice options, Map light Mirror, tweeter pods??
Sorry about the Spanish inquisition.
Genuinely interested, currently selling a coupe M325i as it is impractical.
Cheers.
Thanks for the questions Apex (I know you are not a dreamer!)
Car is a UK import early 90's from memory, I'll check tonight.
Dash is a bit creaky and seems to move around a bit on rough roads. ie gravel corrugations
I think one of the previous owners have had it apart or out at some stage.
All dash lights work and no blown pixels (touch wood)
The bodykit is genunine mtech and was fitted in the UK, I think factory fit. Has all clips etc and fits well. The front spoiler has two broken clips, one on each side. The broken plastic tab is still in the clip on the valance. The front valance is a bit out of shape but I have another one that is straight. The spoiler was on the car when I bought it, it had one small screw holding on each side and then clipped in at the front. (Hope that makes sense)
No LSD sorry.
The car has bilstein streetline kit in it, but I have gone back to the BMW motorsport rear springs as the streetline rears were too low for my liking. I am happy to put which ever springs you would like in it or include them in sale.
Options, no maplight or tweeter pods it has the skibag but not sure this is classed as a choice option!
BTW your M325i looks fantastic!
If I was keeping the car I would change dash, respray and fit front spoiler and valance, change sunroof (couple of bubbles appearing), fix oil leak around front cam seal and change the rubber guido in driveshaft as there seems to be a bit of slop in the drivetrain. I have tried to track this down while owning the car and have changed diff, gearbox, engine mounts and rear subframe bushes, but there is still some slop in there. Guido looks ok but it is about all that is left to do.
Thanks,
Gareth

1989 BMW E30 325i
4 door
5 speed
2.8 m20 engine (Graeme Clyde built)
Full mtech 2 kit
Motorsport seats, steering wheel, gearknob
15in basketweave alloys
New Bilstein shocks
New ATE power groove front discs and green stuff pads all round
Full onboard computer
Sunroof
Towbar
Sony Cd
Royal metallic blue
ABS
179 miles, newer engine, gearbox, suspension etc
The car has a few paint chips and a couple of small bubbles on the sunroof, but not bad for a 21 year old car!
I have the front mtech II spoiler which is mega stone chipped but not cracked, I will also include another front valance as the current one is a bit bent. A new foglight as one is cracked and I also have an uncracked dashboard which could be negotiated on. The current dash is cracked and a bit rattley.
I also have a set of 16 in Hartge alloys which could be sold as part of the package (see photos). I also have a very keen buyer for the mtech 2 kit if you want the car cheaper but with a different bodykit.
Price $7000.
If no interest on here I will be listing on trademe in a week or so.
Genuine enquires only please, no dreamers.
Thanks for looking,
Gareth

Hi, just wondering what other people are running in their E39's?
Workshop manual recommends BMW oil only, but surely Castrol makes something suitable?
0w-40 or 5w-30?
