Oops, should have noted, comes with standard e39 5 series rims, not the rims shown. Other than that, the same. Would be happy with $1400 or so, obviously willing to negotiate

http://www.carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=zc9446 Advertising on behalf of a mate. Has current wof and rego, full leather interior, Carjam shows 105,000 MILES so km wise its done about 168-170,000 kms Showing its age and is rough around the edges, but has been reliable and has a good set of tyres. Note: Photos are now NEW, and its had a few knocks since then (as youd expect from a 20 year old car). Realistic about price but would appreciate offers as not sure what its worth, located in Auckland. Was previously owned by Ray from the forum (who we bought it off at the end of 2008 and who took the initial photos) Jared 021629038 Looking for offers anywhere north of $1000
  4. Cheers for the advice. Any reason why the others havent been successful in repairing them?
  5. I dont understand the level check system no. Any idea tips? Im a competent engineer, just not that knowledgable when it comes to BMW's
  6. Ok so to recap, reinstall shock that has no fluid in it, refit wheel etc, start the car and let the pump refill the shock keeping the reservoir topped up with CHF 11s? Or do I pre fill the shock?
  7. I repaired it myself. A couple of the top seals had perished, and I replaced them with Boge replacements. Just clarifying as it has a seperate hydarulic fluid reservoir, considering the recon work ive done I dont want to risk just installing it full without bleeding it if I need to. Cheers for the prompt reply btw, ill be posting a guide about how to rebuild them once ive finished mine.
  8. On my 730iL the rear EDC and SLS shock was "weeping" as such, so I have rebuilt the shock with new seals, however, ive gotten to the point where I need to refill the shock and reinstall it, but I cant for the life of me find a bleed valve. Should I just fill the shock to the top and let the hydaulic system repressurise the shock? Anyone had any experience rebuilding the shock? TIA
  9. I think we are looking at the same 528i, its very straight, but I haven't had it inspected yet. They seem to go very well, but was wondering, what is the fuel economy like? ive heard between 8L/100km and 10L/100km on long distance trips and 12L/100km or less around town?
