depends what exhaust you have genuine or after market??? some after market mufflers were prone to burning out or rusting out baffles,due to cheaper materials, hense a loader exhaust essentially the muffler will look fine on the outside, but toast on the inside.

Exhaust, ticking as it cools, probably more noticable if it is stainless

we must'nt confuse heel toe and double clutching, as double clutching can be done with out the heel toe, the idea behind double clutch is,to match the speed of the gears within the transmission. using this as a rough example, when changing down from 3rd to second clutch in, flick the lever from 3rd into neutral, let clutch pedal out (whilst in neutral), rev the engine, to speed up the gears for gear speed matching, then clutch in and change down to second and maybe another little blip for engine speed matching. by doing this you are in fact spining up the transmision gears to syncronize there speed it is also useful in a syncromesh box... when the conical brass bores are worn, and no longer grip the matching steel cone attached to the next gear, which hinders the gear to be selected to be speed up or slowed down for smooth meshing A good indication of the condition of the Gearbox, is whilst doing a gear oil change, look for a shiny brass tinge floating in the oil. pretty good indication of a worn syncromesh. Hey mate, yeah I've taken several out before, takes patience etc, gotta remove front / rear screens,A pillar trim, check controller trim, and remove door rubbers around the door jams, as the head liner folds around the metal lip that holds the window and door rubbers. Also there are wire rods that go across the cabin threaded through the liner and clip into the cabin. I'm assuming you don't have a sunroof What I sugget you do, is look at a stripped out e30 wreck (with liner) and see how it is constructed before you work on yours, and plan how you will remove it etc. good luck Jon

It has: Legal tints Big bore exhaust Lowered on king springs Pioneer head unit 4AGE 20V 5 speed manual It's done approx 240,000 km. It is warranted until June, and will come with a couple of months rego. No rust Standard alloy rims with warrantable tyres Okay now for bad points: Clutch will probably need to be fixed soon but is still drivable. A few dents on boot lid where wing was once attached. short shift kit E30 this is a machined alloy block that slots onto the bottom of your existing gear lever and held with a bolt and nut, which is supplied the gear selector rod plugs back in again to the block and is nicely machined with a brass bushing. it works well and makes a quick short shift. high quality, used for about 6 months, surplus to requirements as race car is finished, easy to install and can be done with the gear lever in from underneath. trying to find a photo and will attach, if possible $70 Jon hm 04 4790578 ( after 6pm) 0276 837251 ( anytime) wk 04 803 0938 Wellington
