Hi there, I'm still looking around to replace the cracked lens (will cost around $250 to replace with OEM) and even though the other headlight isn't cracked, it's got condensation. So, I'll have to also dry that out and re-seal it as well. This means there's also the opportunity to look at different lights. I can't afford $1100 for xenon angel eyes on TradeMe, so just wanted to know what your opinions are on the $620 ones. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-194539228.htm Are they good? Hi there, I'm looking for second hand (prefer) or new headlight lens for Bosch OEM driver side headlights, for 330Ci (2 door), E46. I checked and the lens can be detached, so it should be possible to buy just the lens rather than entire assembly. There are several numbers on the lens - I have no idea which one is the Bosch part number. Please let me know if you have one. Thank you

Grrrr... Parked at Bayfair (Tauranga) today after I took sister and bro in law for a drive in the car. Got my license sorted while there and returned back to my car about 30 minutes later... to find a huge 35cm paint scratch on the back corner of my car. That after changing ownership just yesterday... Spoke to security who has kept in touch and will let me know tomorrow morning if they have further details on the vehicle that did it. Not exactly sure what I'm going to do if they manage to get the other vehicles number plate. I managed to get all the white paint off but the damage is still noticeable. Bit of my car paint and bumper plastic came off .. Spoke to insurance already and did some calculations on no claims..and it's not worth it to have it fixed. Which brings me onto the next... If they do find the number plate, what are my options? Thanks

Hi guys, I appreciate all the input and feedback. Now that I've driven the car a bit more, it would be too hard to go back to the Altezza. I'm going to schedule a service and get a check on the car to see if there's any issues. I've been browsing around for a second hand replacement for that headlight, certainly not something that's readily available. Will be calling a few yards and see if they have any. The crack goes up underneath the bit where it clips on to the black plastic. If anyone tracks one down, please let me know Thanks!

Hi Glenn, I had a chat to AMI earlier tonight, have full insurance but they said that the glass cover only the windows/windscreen and not the headlights. Had to call them a couple of times and asked both about what the glass cover entitles. Though, at that cost new even paying the excess would be a bargain Thanks

Hi ya, no unfortunately they are not the same as the coupe ones. I left you a message on TradeMe (before I saw this one) asking that if you ever do manage to track down ones for a coupe, to please let me know. Yeah, was also wondering about the indicator - noticed they were separate but thought it would be related to the crack. I'll investigate further what the problem is there. Thanks for your time

Hi Everyone, Firstly, fantastic site you've got here. I read through some of the posts and everyone seems extremely helpful. Great to see a community like this. Everyone come here for different reasons.. my reason is that I'm currently struggling to make a decision since I've got NO experience with BMW's. I've got an Altezza 1998 Z-edition. Bought it March 07 for $14.5k. Tiptronic, 4 cylinder BEAMS engine, slightly lowered with HKS exhaust and 17" Works mags. It's currently got 132000kms on the odometer. Drives really nicely, but didn't get the performance I expected. I've been offered the opportunity to swap my Altezza for a BMW 330Ci 2000. It's got full AC Schnitzer body kit, Schniter exhaust, Schnitzer side mirrors. It's in fairly good condition however a few little things which will be fixed before the swap is done (slider under the sunroof seems to have gone off it's rails, wheel alignment and I might have to go half on a replacement for a headlight cover.. if I don't have to replace the whole headlight assembly). It has 182000kms on the odometer since the previous owner lived in New Plymouth and worked in Palmerston North - she has however regularly serviced it and I've got all the paperwork. Probably not the best idea to ask the question on these forums, but any input appreciated. So many people discouraged me, but none of them ever owned a BMW.. so, would like to hear from you guys. I need some positive input, but be honest and realistic. I have attached some photos of both vehicles. Thank you very much

Hi guys, Excellent site you've got with a hell of a lot of great info. I just wanted to find out two things: 1) Is it possible to replace the plastic headlight cover for my E46 (330Ci, year 2000) as it's cracked or would I have to replace the whole headlight assembly? 2) Where would I be able to track one down second hand and what is it likely to cost me? I'm located in Tauranga if anyone is familiar with the area and would recommend a place. Sorry if these questions are simple. Thank you
