A truer word, has never been spoken.

I would put it between 10-12k. What is the plastic implement used that is shown in the toolbox?
Assume phone is 3G and won't work on current networks? Very nice example car.

Are they no longer available ex BMW? I know it is expensive but this is a part you don't want to mess around with. They often have corrosion at the seams.

Counseling is one part. Recommend you also get legal advice. That way you know where you stand and have a much better hand when dealing with the situation as/if it unfolds. Also shores up your confidence...

FCP have good transit times. They use FedEx who have dedicated fleet of planes. 10 days is norm to our shores.

Hence why I always check insurance on expensive items I buy that are likely to go sea freight. Many policies only cover the cost of the shipping, not the value of the goods themselves.
Don't forget salvage - often the most expensive part of the piece. All freight parties are held to account for this. So, if you want your freight back without going broke - insure.

Was this the car that got damaged at or just before delivery?

It has been a good day. 2 x e28's
White m535 in Kingsland and an eta in Panmure.

It certainly is a unique car. If the story checks out and can somehow be traced back for future reference it is a big plus. Wonder if the chassis is a stock e34.
