  1. I have seen the cheap nasty ones floating around 1800-2000 mark. If I were you and money is an issue, grab a second hand set of better qaulty wheels from a known brand. Things to look out for however with the cheaper 'look good' wheels are cracking on any part of the wheel and/or through the main casted barrel. This is the worst that can happen but scarily seems to be more and more a common occurance.

You wont get 20's on without modification to the inner wheel cowling on a standard e46 chassis.

Secondhand is what I look for. Any suggests?

    Thanks

  2. Would this also apply to 16x8's with 225/50R16 rubber on a E46 sedan? What would be ideal offset (not max-min)? Not worried about looks - just need wheels to make the rubber sit better.

    (sorry for hijack)

Im running a BBS 16" wheel for now, tires Yokohama 225/50-16. However, soon that I have my new wheels then would sale the ones. If you interest, I would keep in mind your offer.

  3. I recommend you diagnose the fault fully before simply replacing speakers.

    What radio is fitted?

Do you have amplifier or not? Which one? Standard/DSP/HK?

Does the fault occur on all inputs (Radio/Tape/CD/Nav/TV/Aux-In) or just some?

    Thanks for your reply.

I actually have the Alpine IDA X300 and source from Ipod.

I dunt know any amp in my car however, I believe that it doesnt have amp coz I plug the X300 to the standard power and speakers cable at the back of the unit.

As i detailed above, depend on the song, some of them I hear abit funny with the tweeter. The bass seem work perfectly.

Moreoever, the issue seem from the front speakers.

    Thanks

    Kelvin

  4. Hi all,

Been searching awhile however still confuse about these standard speakers size for 2000 E46 Coupe.

Any one know exact size please advice to buy as my speakers seem broken in some part. The sound is not very clear however, depend on the tracks quality. Some of the songs are extremely beautiful with full ranges but some are funny sound.

    Thanks

  5. Hi all,

Just dunt know where to post, hope this the rite box to ask then.

My 328CI E46 just abit funny... there are always have some noises.. what can I say... the noise seem from the back when I slow down my car. Abit more detail that the noise sound like something bang to the back (not hard out bang, not loudly but sound something like the sparewheel or something move and hit to the body) when I slowdown the car and nearly stop. I first thought that there must be something in the trunk that when I brake or stop the car, the thing move and hit to the trunk or body but I did clean out the trunk and be sure that there are none there however, the noise still happen.

I dunt know anything about car or mechanic stuffs however, personal think something wrong with the tranmission or drivetrain or something like that.

Im looking for someone who is expert in this situation or whosoever can have drivetest to find out what is going on with my E46.

I live in Auckland City Central. Anyone know who would be able to help please give advice.

    Thanks alot.

    Kelvin.

  6. I have these on my new car that I might sell (not my style)

    post-489-1235328456_thumb.jpg

19" TSW THRUXTON but not sure of width of wheels but definately are staggered fitment (wider at the back)

Front tyres are Hankook Ventus Sport K104 235/35/19

Rear tyres are Hankook Ventus Sport K104 265/30/19

Tyres have good tread, wheels on the passenger side have some curbing on the lip only but not that noticable, can be cleaned up easily.

With these wheels, I can full lock left and right with no rubbing.

    Give me an offer :)

They are not wat Im looking for. Thanks

  7. Also if your after some lowering springs. I still have these for sale.

    http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....c=14576&hl=

I just concern whether it would look funny if I put your springs on and running with the standard BBS 16"?

In the case if Im going to buy 19", would I have to do roll-gaurd with the set of 255/30 or 255/35 or something like that?

To Zenetti: What would your alternative option? Please leave me a msg.

    Thanks

    Kelvin

  8. They should fit on nicely, however the stretch on that rear tyre is a concern. I had to laugh when he said genuine ruff racing wheels imported from the USA  - they are made in China like 98% of all wheels.

Would be a bargain at $1500

What do you concern of the rear type?

Do you have any similar sets for the same budget? Im in Auckland. Please send me some foto if you have ones.

    THanks alot/

    KElvin

  9. You can buy them yourself for cheaper however from the source.

    http://www.umnitza.com/product_info.php?cP...roducts_id=1099

There are afew options that I dont understand at all.

    What the different between

    - OEM Xenon D2S System and OE Xenon 50W

    - Standard and Predator Xenix bulb

    - Predator Chromiun, Predator Orion and Predator Orion V2

Please advice me which one of these I should go for.

However, what about TradeMe-CCFL kit? Anyone has any comment or recommendation to go for.

    Thanks alot.
