  4. Sooo, long time no posts.

Been saving my money and seeing as a bunch of parts are arriving thought it was time to update.

    Start with wheels.

shame to see an original set of RS003 looking like that. So threw em in the oven and split them and had some new lips made up (2.5 and 2' Barrels are 6') by Gavin Bateman thanks to Jasjot heaps for putting me onto him and helping me out a whole heap finding what i needed.

They arived a while ago but had to order new caps and the centers are still being painted.

I'm heading over seas again from june to september so wont be painting the car before i leave :( This means the bodykit is staying off for another 4 months...

Anyway i wanted to lower the car just the right amount on the wheels when they are done, so i went down the coilover path and these arrived today :D

In order for these to fit i needed the 51mm struts as mine was a 320i, a friend had a wrecker and he was happy to swap as long as the body of the wrecker was still rolling, so i did the swap

nearly forgot to mention, bought a daily driver bit cheaper on gas and gives me time for the E30.

picked up this pug 106 XSI at a good price and have been driving it for 3 months now.. What a car! so much fun! and at 320km round town driving for $50 its cheap as chips!

anyway will update in the next few days with an install on the coilovers (hard to find a well documented one on the net)

hope pics arnt to big! : /

  5. HI there,

as the topic says. im going to do a coilover conversion but i need some front spindles from a 325i as i believe mine are 45mm on the 320.

not to worried if i need to buy full strut assembly just worried about the cost of shipping that.

anyway im here in Christchurch if anyone could help me out thatd be awesome!

  6. Hey, seriously looking into a few E30 coilover kits at the moment but cant seem to find the best price or anywhere local?

i really like the look of the BC golds and have read only good reviews on there as far as bang for your buck.

also megan racing do one which im pretty sure is identicle anyway.

has anyone gone through this recently that could offer some help.

i have the 45mm struts by the way.

    thanks.

  7. hey guys.

somewhere between going overseas and moving house and selling a car i no longer have the center caps for my BBS RS003

this is a big problem : / i cant seem to find a new set anywhere! i've searched and searched.

just wondering if anyone has ever looked for these or something similar. Or if any of the more common BBS wheels have the same centers.

The BBS 003 is a 16' wheel with a 15' center and upsized lip and barrel.

the diameter of the center cap would be 151mm the screw in to the center of the wheel the thread hole is 55 mm

even if something fitted but was the clip type i could make this work. luckily a lot of the centers look identical hopefully one will fit!

    Thanks,

    Sam

  8. i think grey would look really good on a white E30.

where are you getting your lips from, for widening?

i've just split my BBS003 same as Atta and am just about to order new lips for them. someone on here gave me a number for a guy in welly who qouted me around $900 for 4 polished stagered lips with no clear coat and i cant find a better deal anywhere. he has to machine them up himself. impossible to find anything second hand for these wheels.
