E30 m50 Sedan for sale – SA assembled Selling my E30 – I’ve been slowly working at this for the last 5 years or more. Great motor very strong and drivable. Loads of torque and mid range power. I'm after $8.5k Feel free to ask questions. Selling as I’m back into motorcycles and it hardly gets used. Car is in Mt Maunganui - PICS COMING ASAP Motor/Drive train · M50 “stroked” to 3L with M54 piston, rods & crank - Under 10000k since bearings /gaskets done throughout · Getrag 260 gearbox (manual) · Aftermarket Alloy radiator with front mount pusher fan, 2 speed running from thermo switch. · Straight through 2.5” exhaust · LSD Body & Exterior · 140k’s · Sunroof · 16” Alloys with near new rubber · OEM Sump Guard (Custom to fit) · XYZ Coilovers front & Rear. Adjustable shock & ride height adjustable Interior · Leather interior · Genuine AC Schnitzer steering wheel · Pineeers Ipod/iphone headunit. Pioneer 6x9’s & front Sony components run from Sony 4 ch Amp. 10” Sony Sub & Amp. Good points Have had the M50 in for 3 years, have had time to iron out the issues that come with a engine swap and it is running great and very reliable. · Recent service (oil/filter, new battery, wiper blades) · Respray in late 2013 & had minor rust spots removed - looks great · All certified (Engine,Wheels & Coilovers) · Current Rego & WOF · Recently replaced brake lines with braided aftermarket · Electric windows/mirrors/sunroof all work as they should · New front wish arms Bad points. · Minor Oil leak · Boot carpet is a bit rough · Passenger lock sometimes doesn’t work · Leather showing its age.(still looks good) · Needs a new coolant sensor plug (easy fix, may do if I have time)

Good advice thanks Jon - I'll do that

Its street use only Jon. Im prepared to spend whats reasonable but i'm just not sure if ordering a Wilwood kit (or similar) is a overkill... at 3k + to do front and rear its a big call.

Yeah sorry standard 325i vented discs with disc rears - running 16" rims

E30 Bilsteins shocks rebuild or replace?
adams202 replied to sonny5cy's topic in Brakes, Suspension & Steering
Out of curiosity what's the second hand value of the bilsteins? I had similar senario and for what its worth I went with coilovers, one of the best investments I've made so far. -
Brilliant - thanks.

I'm removing the front strut from the housing - To remove the collar at the top I understand there is a "special" tool that I don't have. Before I butcher it - Is there a recommend way to do this that wont destroy the collar ? Thanks

This - Happened to me a while after changing plugs. It was the first time I used a torque wrench to do them which made me laugh
