50km/h in Auckland traffic? Hooning!!Sport mode and manual shifting loses it's charm when you're doing it in Auckland traffic at 50km/h, to be fair

Are you firm on the $1k? I'm looking to get rid of my E30 daily, 318i auto, sedan, facelift, WOF, rego just expired but can put 3 months on it. I'm in Auckland too. Would like $1750 for it, PM me if you're interested.

Ah I see. There were 2 or 3 on TardMe just before I got the E28, they all obviously sold before I got to 'em though.

On a side note, where does one find an E21 these days? I've wanted one for ages, love the shark nose era Bimmers. I "settled" for the E28, the inverted commas are there because I wanted an E28 as well!I've been told that an E21 I've been looking at...

Thanks for the offer but I'd have to say no.
No probs, worth a shot! I'll let you know if I can free up some cash, might try sell the style 4s quick smart then!

Would be nice to keep both, I like the 4s, but always thought 5s would look right at home on the old girl! Why not keep both I've also got a set of style 4s, but was looking at these for variety

Damn I'm keen on these too, you wouldn't want to swap for a set of style 4s off an E38?

Fitted 5mm front spacers so the tyres clear the shocks, and fitted replacement quarter glass. W.O.F. on Tuesday

Hi chaps, I'm in need of a quarter window for the E28. I'm in Auckland and happy to pick up in Auckland. Let me know if you have anything!
Cheers

So this happened on the weekend. My initial thought was that some motherf**ker tried to break into the E28, being that it's the quarter window that's smashed......but it was parked at my brother's place, up a shared driveway, during the day, on Saturday. The conclusion was that it must have been the twat next door flicking a tiny stone (only about 3mm diameter, hole straight through the window!) while weed whacking his driveway. He's probably a really nice guy, but f**k him he smashed my window. I assume.

Nice looking E23 in Takanini, think the rego was SI5881. Anybody here?

I worked on one at CTC just over a month ago, went up for the check flight too. Very nice aircraft! Turbo sounds good at idle, and generally way better than the DA20s. CTC have a 172 with the diesel conversion and Garmin 1000 etc, supposedly way more efficient than the old Lycomings, but that's not hard! These are awesome. I did my Multi/IFR on them through CTC. Far more economical and better range than the petrol equivalent (they make them with a standard lycoming avgas engine too). And the noise they make. And the smell. Heaven.

Don't we all! This thing has 4 cylinder turbo diesel Merc engines thoughAnd dumped.
I love a big dirty Detroit diesel screaming it's tits off.

Thought this might be relevant to this discussion. Turbo diesel twin trainer that parks outside work. Never mind the trucks, think how much Jet A1 is burnt every day in commercial aviation.

If I had the money, and a massive shed, my E28 would be parked alongside this.....and an E21, and an E24. Yep. I'm a sucker for the sharks.
