Update So car is going in for paint tomorrow or Monday
Having the Bumpers/Bonnet/Doors/Pods and Rear Quarter's painted. Rest of the car is going to have a cut and poilish
all up he quoted me $500
, think its pretty good, ive been going to him for ages and he does a good job.
took some pics just for the "before" and After kinda thing
EDIT- At the moment my girlfriend cant decide if she wants to keep it (as she wants a Black Tech1 with a Zender front spoiler ), so if she rejects it, it will be up for sale to find another e30........hence anyone looking for a tech2 325i watch this space
Where abouts are you getting it done mate ? i need to get a spray for a few things for my car
-
Im in dependant on $$$ cheers
-
i can really suggest a wheel balance, had the same prob with the 325i, swapped a set of rims on i knew were balanced and the problem was fixed
Well i got my wheels balanced and aligned at HYPER last week so i dont think it could be that..
thanks tho

hey mate nice going with the E30 its looking awesome !!
What sort of bulbs did you use to get that whitey bluey light from your headlights ? - is it just a straight bulb swap or HID kit?
-
Not really mate, they perform just as well as the stock bulb. Even better in some cases. Although they don't give a lot more light.
There are many options in Repco. They've got +50 ranges which put out a lot more light but bulb life is less.
Just from changing the bulb. 1 minute job. Have a slight bluish tinge in real view.
From memory they retail about $80 for a pair of main bulbs and a pair of parks.
Cheers btw
I'l check it out 2mro cheers
-
Did you change to orange bulbs whilt using the front repeaters?
-
Narva Ultra Blue 5000k from Repco.
Looksy at my sig.
Are they from just changing the bulb ? how much do they range $$? nice sig BTW

No home-made tinted tailights are legal, even with separate reflectors. The rules state no tint film or overlay or spray can be applied to lights.
BUT, it's whether the testing station notices, and they never have when I've had these ones on, and the reflectors still work.
So its up to you. The risk is yours. Swapping them for legal ones takes 2mins at WOF time if you're worried, and I'm asking less than half for these as legal smoked lights cost.
Its up to whoever buys them what they do.
I'll take reasonable offers, or I'll take to them with some meths and try and put them back to stock for spares.
Currently want $100 tails, $30 front repeaters.
Front repeaters as in the ones that go into your front bumper for the indicators ? got pics? cheers

I want that whitey blue look on my headlights.. is this mod just as simple as changing the bulbs over ? or do i have to get these HID kits i see on trademe ? not really after a increase in light, just the look really cheers
-
I also have the same problem
I thought i was the only one
-
Yeah I have the same problem and wanna know how to solve it.
Thanks guys quick reply
Anybody know of where to get some good quality bushings? - might give it a crack this weekend
-
I was driving on the motorway the other day and as soon as i reach to about 85 km + i feel the car starts to shake.. Has this happend to anyone before ?
My first thought on it was just a wheel alignment, so i got my wheels balanced and aligned but still has a bit of a shock.Could it be bushings ?
Any thoughts ?

Ive got to find one now.!!So sump guards are universal to all e30's ?
-
ive never understood why people want to get sump guards. ive never got close to smashing mine. and i would imagen that to smash it you would have to be doing something pretty stupid. but thats just my opinion. not bagging them or anything.
ohh and to answer your question.. yes i think they do. but not 100% sure
Yeah im just wondering for extra protection thats all..
cheers
-
I just recently got my car lowered and im just wondering for protection if a SA sump gaurd would fit onto my non SA e30?
