  1. Yep the Mustang is pretty cool.. You can keep the attempted GT replica though.... way too much money for what is essentially a 30+ yo falcon. Makes we wish I still had my 68 XT GT... I bought it damaged in 1986 for $500, restored it and ended up having to sell it thanks to my (then) new (now ex) wife. Sold it in 1991 for $12,500 and don't want to think about how much money I lost in the "deal"..... if only I'd known how much it might've been worth now....
  2. Thanks for the welcome, I think? Are you implying it's a girls car?? We currently have a Ford Territory that we bought in 2007 with the intention that my wife would get it when her 95 RAV4 eventually died.. well it did (violently) just prior to Easter when she rolled it!! She decided the Territory was too big for her and so we got her a new RAV instead. Now I get to go back to something I'd like. Thought about getting another GT but decided to go for something smaller. I've been down the WRX route before and didn't wanna go there again so I looked to go "Euro". I had a 318 coupe on loan but hated the small boot (coming from a cavernous Territory) and thought a hatch would be better for my needs.. (that or a wagon) and I started looking at Audi A3's but preferred the Bimmer 318ti much more, drives better, great handling out of the box and reasonable looks plus plenty of mods available if I ever want to go down that path again.
  3. As per my first post over in the new members thread.. here's the 2002 E46 318ti M-Sport that I bought over the weekend. The dealer tells me it'll arrive in Auckland on the 6th of May... Can't wait!! My New Toy
  4. Thanks for the welcome and tip on the handbook, I'll probably try the local dealer but as you say it'll be pricey.. oh well.. It's finished in silver with all the standard motorsport options, suede sport interior etc etc and the tiptronic transmission. That's all I know about it at this stage. Importer confirmed it'll be in Auckland on or about the 6th of May and subject to any problems, I should have it a few days later. It'll most likely have the Jap MD hi-fi that I may look at changing.. we'll see This not THE car but an identical one I also looked at.
  5. Hey all, brand new to the group and dropped in to say hi.. I've just ordered a 2002 E46(?) 318ti M-Sport that'll be in the country in a couple of weeks.. Have always had a thing for BM's but this'll be my first to own and I'm really looking forward to taking delivery. One question.. being an import, where's the best plce to get an english owners manual? Can't seem to find anything other than a generic 3 series version that doesn't cover ti the compact. Any ideas?? Cheers Ewie
